They get on Red Cross buses to set out on a 20 hour trip to see their fathers and brothers in prisons in Israel, when it is dark outside, 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning.

Visits themselves are only for 45 minutes

Children as young as 5 get on the buses, their mothers are not even allowed to accompany them.

Visits are allowed once every 1 1/2 months, up to age 16, then once or twice a year, if even at all.

Children grow up not knowing their fathers and their brothers, sometimes their mothers.

This is life for Palestinians living under Israeli Occupation.

You had to go back to 2008 to find that last story of an Israeli child injured by a rocket.

Let us all remember in the past 5 years Israel has killed close to 500 Palestinian children, and Hamas killed 1 Israeli child in that time frame. The child was 16 and his name was Daniel. I wish I could name the close to 500 Palestinian children Israel killed just as easily. Their lives had as much value as his did.

Alert Border Police prevented two Arab terrorists from carrying out an attack Thursday September 19th evening at the Tapuach Junction in Samaria (Shomron).

The two Arabs, who are in their twenties, carried a backpack and advanced toward the checkpoint at the junction in a way that aroused the policemen's suspicions. They searched the men at a secure distance and discovered four ready-to-throw fire bombs and a knife.

The terrorists are from Ras al Ein, near Shechem. They were arrested and taken to interrogation.

This is the second similar event in the last week. Two days ago, Border Police arrested two suspects at the Tapuach Junction with four primed fire bombs in their belongings.

Alon Battalion Commander, Lt. Col. Shlomi Yosef, said Thursday that “The alertness and professionalism of the combat soldiers at the checkpoint and the arrest of the suspects before they could carry out their intention, prevented without a doubt the intention of hostile elements to disrupt the peace of the holiday.”
