Israel's War Against Hamas - Updates

When the bombing starts Palestinian families seek safety in schools, hospitals and other public buildings.

Do you think the Nuremberg laws came from emperor Constantine?
More nonsense. Israel does not hit hospitals.

It is known, and you do know it, that Hamas has its headquarters under Hospitals so that Israel will not bomb them.

Which is exactly what is happening now with Israel trying to give fuel to a Hospital and Hamas being there keeping the hospital from taking it.

Any building used for military purposes is a Military target per International Law. And you know that.

Gaza doesn't have an army or military base. It's very, very crowded. For the most part they're minors and refugees. How much longer will they be repeating this killing spree? You think it will be another 20-30 years?

I never heard of Constantine creating the Nuremberg laws, but irosie91 says he did.

Originally a Canaanite settlement, it came under the control of the ancient Egyptians for roughly 350 years before being conquered and becoming one of the Philistines' principal cities. Gaza became part of the Assyrian Empire around 730 BC. Alexander the Great besieged and captured the city in 332 BC.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Lie for Hamas, go ahead !!!

Do not worry, once Hamas and Islamic Jihad are defeated there will not be any more attacks from Gaza into Israel. There will be the peace which was supposed to have happened in 2005 when Israel left Gaza by kicking out all the Jews from there.

But then, Hamas happened. But Hamas will be no more in Gaza after this war. And the Palestinians in Gaza will rejoice, as they are right now that Israel is putting an end to Hamas.

I do not know of what IROsie said, you can look it up. And it has NOTHING to do with this thread 's topic.

The US paid an extra $2 billion dollars for the settlers to leave Gaza in 2005?

Gaza was conquered by the Muslim general Amr ibn al-'As in 637 AD and most Gazans adopted Islam during early Muslim rule. Thereafter, the city went through periods of prosperity and decline. The Crusaders wrested control of Gaza from the Fatimids in 1100, but were driven out by Saladin.

NOTHING to do with today's Muslim terrorists who are terrorizing the population in Gaza.

Gaza will be Free !!!!

[ I wish that was true. That it was an affront to Islam when Mohammad himself massacred the men from Kaybar. And many other instances of massacres of Jews by Muslims since then ]

An Arab Muslim Israeli volunteer for the ZAKA rescue service on Monday said he thought he had “seen it all” before Hamas terrorists rampaged through southern communities on October 7.

However, when he arrived at the scene of a brutal massacre in the city of Sderot, it was “the first time I got to a scene… and had no idea where to start,” Jamal Waraqi told Channel 12 news in an interview.

Waraqi said he did not fully comprehend the scope of the disaster until he saw a man lying next to a motorbike at the entrance to the southern city.

“I discovered that the man was shot in the head. After that, I raised my head, and started to see bodies strewn across the road from left to right.”

ZAKA, a group that handles human remains after terror attacks and other disasters, has worked round the clock since October 7, when terrorists burst through the Gaza border and brutally murdered some 1,200 people — mostly civilians in their homes and at a music festival — and abducted at least 240 people into the Gaza Strip under a deluge of rockets aimed all over Israel.

In the interview, Waraqi said he worked in the kibbutzim of Sa’ad, Kfar Aza, and Be’eri, the sites of terrible atrocities committed by terrorists. Entire families were shot, burned alive, and mutilated in their homes during the incursion.

The Hamas terror group had ambitious plans beyond what it was able to carry out during its devastating October 7 onslaught, including possibly reaching the West Bank and larger Israeli cities in order to spark a broader war, according to a Sunday report.

Reconnaissance information and maps suggesting the West Bank was a target for the brutal incursion were discovered in the possession of one of the assault units that burst across the border, The Washington Post reported, citing two senior Middle Eastern intelligence officials and a former US official with detailed knowledge of the evidence.

Furthermore, officials said terrorists were found with supplies to last several days, indicating plans of a deeper incursion.

“They planned a second phase, including in major Israeli cities and military bases,” an unnamed senior Israeli official said.

“If that had occurred, it would have been a huge propaganda win — a symbolic blow not only against Israel but also against the Palestinian Authority,” the US official said, referencing the government that administers parts of the West Bank.

The Israel Defense Forces released on Wednesday an intercepted phone call that it claims proves Hamas is using civilian infrastructure, and particularly medical facilities and supplies, for terror purposes.

In the call, a Gaza resident is heard asking a Hamas terrorist, “Should I send an ambulance?”

To which the terrorist replies: “No man, I have ambulances. I can go out with whatever ambulance.”

The Palestinian civilian interjects: “Brother, there is an ambulance that if I tell him to come to you, he will take you and bring you to the entrance of your house.”

The terrorist retorts: “Brother, there are ambulances that go and come back. I can go with any ambulance.”

The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) also released on Wednesday an interrogation video of one of the terrorists who participated in Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre.

“[Hamas’s] Al-Qassam [terror unit] has its own ambulances, some of which are located on the military base. The appearance of the ambulances is similar to the civilian ambulances so that they will not arouse suspicion or be bombed by Israel,” he says.

On Friday, the IDF said that an aircraft struck an ambulance in the Gaza Strip that according to military intelligence was being used by Hamas very close to the combat zone. The military added that several terrorists were killed in the strike near Gaza’s Dar Al-Shifa Hospital.

The PA/Fatah missed a unique opportunity to change course, renounce terror, and finally offer the Palestinians an alternative. After many years of promoting, supporting, and rewarding terror, and educating children to see themselves as future terrorists, the unspeakable barbarism of their political rivals Hamas, created for PA/Fatah a unique opening to send a message to the Palestinian people about the evil of terror. Abbas’ PA and Fatah could have condemned Hamas, condemned the indescribable horrors, and told their people to make a choice: continue the old way of atrocity and terror represented henceforth by Hamas alone, or choose a new path of peace – represented henceforth by Fatah alone.

Tragically, Abbas and the Fatah party put themselves firmly behind Hamas and its atrocities, celebrating the massacres, and even laughing at the victims. One video posted by Fatah on Telegram mocked the Israeli victims by portraying them in an illustration as a dead rat, lying on its back on an Israeli flag with its feet in the air, about to be trampled by a boot the colors of the Palestinian flag. [Fatah’s Bethlehem Telegram, Oct. 8, 2023]

Even when pressed by the international community and in particular by the United States to condemn the atrocities, Abbas refused. He finally issued a mild statement, not condemning Hamas, but merely saying that “Hamas’ policy and actions do not represent the Palestinian people.” But after giving it a second thought, even that mild statement was too much for Abbas. A few hours later his statement was removed and replaced by a general statement that The PLO is… the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.”

Abbas had to decide whether to be true to the PA ideology of supporting and rewarding the murder of Israelis or to give in to international pressure and condemn the worst atrocities against the Jews since the Holocaust. In situations like this in the past, Abbas at times has given in to international pressure to ensure that international funding will continue. This time Abbas wavered but, in the end, remained true to PA principles: a Palestinian can never be defined as a terrorist and can never condemned when killing an Israeli.

With the support for Hamas crossing the political divisions, it is no wonder that one week into the fighting Palestinians marched through the streets of Hebron, Nablus, and even in the PA capital, Ramallah, chanting: “The people want the [Hamas’] Al-Qassam Brigades!” As the fighting increases public support for Hamas’ increases. This week, videos of large marches all across the West Bank supporting Hamas are being posted on social media. In one, hundreds of young schoolgirls marched and chanted: “We are the daughters of [Hamas leader] Muhammad Deif… Allahu Akbar, blow up the Zionist’s head… strike Tel Aviv… strike Ashkelon… Jihad is our path… the Quran is our savior… Death for Allah is our sublime wish…” [Quds New Network (Hamas), Twitter, Oct. 29, 2023]

By refusing to offer Palestinians an alternative to even unspeakable atrocities and by supporting the “heroic” slaughter, Fatah and Abbas have sent a clear message to Palestinians: Hamas is doing the right job and clearly doing it better than PA/Fatah.

Ironically, Abbas’ public response to the atrocities and by repeating the slogan that “the PLO is the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people”, has turned that slogan into an irrelevant anachronism. The PA and Fatah with their own actions have handed the loyalty of the West Bank on a silver platter to Hamas, which must now be recognized as the uncontested representative, not only of the Palestinian people, but also of Fatah and Abbas himself.

After initially celebrating Hamas’ massacre on Israel, the Palestinian Authority/Fatah changed its tune when Israel began destroying Hamas’ terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. Now the PA and Fatah daily accuse Israel of intentionally killing civilians in Gaza. But the PA has taken its libels even a step further, accusing Israel - and America - of implementing a greater “satanical plan” via Israel’s counter-terror response to Hamas’ terror war in order to conquer the entire Arab world. PA Chairman Abbas’ advisor warned that Israel “won’t stop at Gaza”:

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash: “The [Israeli-American] satanical plan will not stop with the Gaza Strip and will not be summed up by the Gaza Strip or just the Hamas Movement. The goal is to eliminate the Palestinian cause at the expense of Egypt, at the expense of Jordan, and at the expense of the Palestinians in order to realize the American and Israeli interests.

Al-Habbash: “From the first days of the [Israeli] aggression they [Israel] began to speak about Gaza Strip residents leaving Palestine to the Sinai Peninsula, and if that would succeed, Heaven forbid, they would also do this in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and thus they would realize their old-new statement: ‘A land without a people for a people without a land.’ That’s the entire satanic Israeli plan that is supported by the US.”

Likewise, Al-Habbash claimed that the entire Islamic world is in danger of Israeli takeover: “If Palestine falls, the next in line will be Arab and Muslim capitals”:
