Issa goes down in flames

Seriously, why do you hate the Constitution? You know, innocent until proven guilty, and all that?

SERIOUSLY, I take nothing from you seriously about how Issa calling Carney a liar is in fact calling Obama one...but you don't care how stupid look, I don't either
you preaching about the Constitution. over someone being called a liar...oh dear gawd save from this joke

Okay, so you can't/won't answer the question. BTW, Carney speaks for the White House - hence, White House Press Secretary. It ain't rocket science...
Please turn your rep back on!

The job of the IRS is to look for unusual deductions or claims of non profit. There was a flurry of T party organizations filing for non profit all at the same time.

Only an idiot would not look at such activity hard as it seems organized outside of the entities filing.

Issa thinks he can bully the IRS into not doing thier job.

There was also a "flurry" of liberal organizations filing for non profit status at the time that those conservatives ones were. What's got the IRS and this Administration in hot water is that the liberal organizations were treated completely different than the conservative ones.

This was not the IRS "doing their job". This was politicians using the IRS to try and knee cap the opposition and THAT isn't going to change no matter who is heading the investigation.

Holy toledo!!!!!!

Even the new head of the IRS admits the IRS was targeting conservative groups. :lmao:

Only the libs at USMB won't admit the IRS fucked up big time.

Danny Werfel, the newly minted acting commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, crept close Monday to offering a governmental apology for his agency's long-held habit of targeting conservative organizations, including many tea party groups, with aggressive and intrusive inquisitions after they applied for tax-exempt status during President Barack Obama's first term.

AND

Werfel insisted that the IRS 'stands ready to confront the problems that occurred, hold accountable those who acted inappropriately, be open about what happened, and permanently fix these problems so that such missteps do not occur again.

But any reform, he told Florida Republican Rep. Ander Crenshaw, 'has to start with a recognition that the trust [of taxpayers] has been violated.'

Most Americans agree with that assessment, judging from a Quinnipiac University poll released last week. In that survey, 66 percent said they 'disapproved' of the IRS's performance of its core duties.

'My primary mission,' Werfel said, 'is to restore that trust.'

Come on you left wing weasels. You seem to develop a thin skin when your crook is in the White House. What Issa said is nothing....nothing compared to the attacks on the Bush administration.

I thought a lot of the attacks on the Bush Adminstration were silly, too.

Especially those by Democrats who complained about the war while writing Bush a blank check to fight it.

"I voted for it before I voted against it."

But generally, the Tea Party complaining about the IRS scrutinizing them is like the guy who mouthed off to a cop complaining the cop gave him the maximum ticket.

What were you expecting, asshole?

And if the ticket wasn't deserved in the first place?

You seem to think that conservatives that WERE unfairly targeted by liberals in the IRS deserve what they got because they complained about it happening,

What one "expects" is equal justice. That holds true for tickets issued by the Police just as it does for treatment by the IRS.

If you were written a speeding ticket for going 45 in a 40 zone and as you sat there in your car you witnessed dozens of other cars blasting by at 60 without getting pulled over...would you be an "asshole" for complaining about that?

As usual, Joey...your "logic" escapes me.

No, you'd actually be STUPID for complaining about that. Because, really, the cop is just out there doing his job.

Now, the IRS got it into their head that people who call themselves "Taxed Enough Already" and think those on government assistance are "leeches" might be trying to pull a fast one when they try to claim to be a "social welfare organization" to avoid disclosing their donors.

Just like the Cop who sees a kid sneaking out of a house with a TV through the window might think something is going on there.

Just saying.

How is a cop that pulled you over for doing five miles an hour over the speed limit but ISN'T pulling over dozen of others that are doing twenty miles an hour over the speed limit "doing his job"?

As usual your argument makes absolutely no sense at all.

We have laws in this country against "selective enforcement" specifically for instances like this. It's illegal to arrest one group of people for a crime while ignoring others that are doing the same thing. It's doubly illegal if you're making that call due to their race, their sex, their religion or their political affiliation. The fact that you can't grasp what a dangerous precedent this is NO MATTER WHO DOES IT only points out how truly stupid you really are!

SO what you are admitting is that the Teabaggers really were breaking the law, but the IRS was being a bunch of meaning by "profiling" them. (Which of course, you'd have no problem with "profiling" when it's "The PUnisher" Zimmerman shooting unarmed black kids in a hoodie.

The Teabaggers are a malignancy on our politics. The sooner they are gotten rid of, the better.

The T/Bs are usefull fools to the GOP. Since people like Issa had no intention of any path to co-operation with Obama anyway and said so from before the POTUS was sworn in these morons are like diseased killer bees allowed into the hive to disrupt and destroy with immunity.

Not even the IRS made a claim that anyone was breaking the law. The questions being asked were not designed to find out if anyone was breaking the law. It was simple harassment designed to delay approval until the applicant gave up.

That's not at all how it is.
This whole IRS thing is like if we outsourced the Highway Patrol to General Motors and they only gave speeding tickets to people driving Fords.
The reason this is so hideous looking is that it gives the appearance that the IRS has been outsourced to the DNC.

The entire IRS attack on conservatives was specifically designed to prevent any organized opposition to obama's reelection. That was the reason and now the IRS can't hide from it.

I have to pity those who are so blindly partisan that they want to excuse the behavior of the IRS. They can't even accept what the IRS has already admitted and apologized for was wrong.

It is pitiful.

Didn't you just know Issa would fuck it all up, again?...

Yeah, no scandal here, Comrades.

{IRS places two top staffers on administrative leave
By Kelly O'Donnell, NBC News

Two senior IRS staffers have been put on administrative leave for accepting free food and "other items" at a conference, two congressional sources told NBC News.

Amid newfound scrutiny of the tax agency's actions following revelations that it had targeted conservative-sounding groups for extra scrutiny, the IRS put the two staffers in the office in charge of implementing health care reform on leave.

The IRS informed multiple congressional staffers that two senior members of the team now in charge of implementing the Affordable Care Act have been removed from their positions, after having allegedly accepted $1,100 in free food and "other items" during a 2010 conference.}

I'm not admitting any such thing. Whether or not a group qualified for tax exempt status SHOULD have been based on the criteria that has been established previously. What's so disturbing about what the IRS did is that they in essence threw out the rules and made up new ones that applied only to conservative groups. It's quite obvious, JoeB that you are more than willing to toss out the rule of law if that would get rid of the Tea Party. What's nearsighted about that view is that those very laws that you don't care about if they are protecting conservatives ALSO PROTECT LIBERALS!!! Anyone with even the slightest shred of intelligence realizes that this is in reality bad for everyone if serious repercussions don't occur for those responsible.

Check the threads..I've been calling Issa a crook for a very long time.

Of course you have.

Issa is an enemy of the party - and you're a complete scumbag without a shred of integrity.

Slander and libel are the tools of demagogues like you.

If someone were to ask you what "crimes" you allege, they would get something like "Uhh, he investigated Obama."

You mindless fuckwad.
