Issa goes down in flames

Issa's future will be determined by the voters of his congressional district, and not by any of you looney tunes here.

It is far past time for the members of this administration to be outed for the damned liars that they are, and far past time for liars to be called liars. Enough of this meally mouthed pretense. They didn't just "mislead" they lied to the American people.

Anyone who ever takes Issa at his word is a fool. He plays nice with everyone, but really is a weasel.

Well, if it turns out that there are tape recordings of Obama ordering a coverup of a WH engineered plan to use the IRS to target tea party groups and their donors ... he should be impeached.

but yeah, if it came down to jay carney or issa, I'd lean more to carney being a straight shooter.

As I've said previously...the only way you get the truth about this is to start at the bottom and work your way up to whoever was responsible. Bring Lois Lerner back to Congress...give her limited immunity and make her testify to what she knows. If this policy came from Washington then those responsible need to be removed from their jobs immediately.

That interview, alone, should have been enough to either close down the investigations or at least remove Issa.

But we are dealing with Conservatives, who think that sort of behavior is just fine.

The fact alone, that the IRS admittedly targeted conservative groups should be enough to abolish the IRS or at least get the president and his crew impeached.

But we are dealing with Leftists, who think that sort of behavior is just fine.

According to Jim McDermott, those groups were dealing with controversial subjects and should have known they would be punished. They really asked for it.

So Issa calls someone a liar and when asked for proof he has none and that's not the smear you're talking about?

:lmao:

The IRS apologizes, Lerner takes the 5th, the Inspector General finds fault with the IRS, Holder orders a criminal investigation, Obama fires Schulman and the whacked out liberals at USMB are still pretending that the IRS did nothing wrong.

they bring up McCarty when they have NOTHING but smears..

their base eats it up though

Issa Stirs Echoes of McCarthy as Obama's 'Best Friend' in IRS Probe

In one brief and repugnant interview, the GOP's chief congressional investigator into Internal Revenue Service abuses cherry-picked evidence, overstated his case, and violated the sacred American principle of presumed innocence.

If that was not enough, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., called White House press secretary Jay Carney a "paid liar," and couldn't explain why. "We're getting to proving it," he said.
Meet the best friend of a controversy-plagued Democratic White House: a demagogic Republican.

In a reminder of how the GOP overreached during the Clinton-era sex scandal, Issa doesn't seem capable of letting damning facts speak for themselves.

Interviewed by a smartly skeptical Candy Crowley on CNN's State of the Union, the California Republican found himself on the defensive from the start.

"Congressional investigators tell CNN the [congressional] report finds the IRS spent over $50 million on 225 employee conferences over a two-year period," Crowley said, adding that the Obama administration no longer allows spending on such training.

"So what's the hearing about?" she said. "Why are you having it?"

Issa shifted focus to the IRS's admission that its agents targeted conservative groups for review of their tax-exempt status. "Well, first of all, we're looking at the IRS for how big the problem is," he replied. "As you know as late as last week the administration is still trying to say there's a few rogue agents in Cincinnati when in fact the indication is they were directly being ordered from Washington."

Note what Issa is doing. He does it all the time--start an unsubstantiated allegation with an absolute declaration ("when in fact") and follow it with weasel words ("the indication is"). This smear-and-caveat technique allows him to ruin reputations without being called a liar.

he is beneath contempt in his partisan hackery. You don't accuse someone of being a liar unless you have proof & he stated he didn't even have the proof.

the garbage posted here to make excuses for this administration..

Alinksy play book, turn things on others and SMEAR the hell of them

you people are sad..

The IRS didn't apologize and Schulman wasn't fired.

Where do you get this stuff?

The Lefties can't stand someone who actually has the gall to attack their Black Messiah. I'm surprised they haven't called Issa a racist yet.

Jimmy boy just destroyed his political career with that crap.

Oh man. Really?

So what if a Republican President lied about trading arms for hostages?

Or if the same guy lied about giving money to death squads?

That enough to impeach that President?
