Census on Obama?s 1st Term: Real Median Income Down $2,627; People in Poverty Up 6,667,000; Record 46,496,000 Now Poor | CNS News

In 2006 from Iraq to the debt to the economy, all of the lies that turned the tide to put the libs in power have come full circle

The economy is a wreck

Part time jobs rule the roost with 90 million not in the work force

Obama-care took the place of focus on jobs for the 2 years we needed it most
trilion dollar deficits? are you kidding? the NY times would have field day with this and GWB

Poverty is at record numbers and growing

Iraq? well now there is Syria where killing people with guns is okay and as if it is a re run of Iraq "we promise to turn in our WMDs" while the world does nothing
excpet this time no-one is going to stop the killing, nor the mad man resp for it

2006? Who controlled both houses, the presidency and the Supreme Court? Whose policies had been in place for years? nuff said.

I don't like 50/50 odds such as the election results presented

Doesn't pay at the Craps table and certainly has not paid off in the USA

Obama = LOSE

The unemployment numbers during the Hussein's reign are a joke. They don't count people who took themselves out of the workforce. The real unemployment rate has been around 20%. And now Obamacare is forcing companies to fire people or reduce them to part-timers.

But hey, the stock market is up! That's proof America is doing great, right? That's exactly what our resident progressive trolls would have us believe...

.

Both parties are pointing the finger at the other for our condition, and they're both right. Our "leaders" have failed us, and neither "side" will admit it.

Nothing of substance changes until we make real and substantial changes to our broken system.

1. Balanced Budget Amendment - Instead of just printing money whenever we feel like it and crippling ourselves and our children with debt, make each party justify its taxing and spending ideas.

2. Short, Strict Term Limits - Does anyone really think that our "leaders" would behave the same way and make the same fucked up decisions if they were not worried about re-election? Really?

3. Publicly-funded Elections - Does anyone really think that our "leaders" would behave the same way and make the same fucked up decisions if they were not worried about fundraising? Really?

Either we take the power back from those who abuse it most or we can just continue to decay and point the finger at the "other guy".

America is coming back after the worst economic disaster, created by Bush and the far right wing of the GOP, in eighty years.

No more neo-conservatism, no more free-wheeling businesses.

Jake, the meltdown wasn't created overnight, it wasn't just a "Bush did it" thing. The meltdown was decades in the making and cultural in its DNA. It was a massive building of torque within our financial system, fed by virtually all of us, that had to break at some point.

It was a little more complicated than something we can just blame on one specific group of people, especially to make some kind of political statement.

So you're saying that we should put Republicans in charge of everything again?

rdean, I'd never thought you'd say such a thing!

The things you learn ...

So you liked their damage? The millions of jobs moved to China? The ruined economy? If you listened to Republicans we would have no car industry. And that would have affected the steel, plastics and textiles industries.

God you guys are dumb. Can't you see the damage Republicans caused the country after so many of their policies were implemented. Only morons could turn the two weeks the Democrats actually controlled both houses into two years. And all the GOP denial. It's really the Democrats fault because they didn't stop the Republicans. What a ridiculous argument.

Yea, because on Monday, everything is perfect, but the next day, Tuesday, everything is rotten. What happens on Tuesday is completely unrelated to what went before. Is that what you are saying?

So the millions of jobs moved to China from 2001 to 2006 did nothing to hurt the economy. But the one job moved the very next day brought down the economy? The Bush tax cuts and the two unfunded wars created no deficit for years. But that one day, they created trillions?

Is there anything you guys won't believe? It's like the bottom half of the US has become concentrated into a single party. The "stupid" is shocking.

And now.....the truth. It is not getting worse.

You keep blamming Bush for jobs that were outsourced to China. What have Obama and the Dems done to stop jobs from being outsourced to China, much less bringing them back? Oh that's right, they haven't done anything.

Obama wouldn't even think of taking jobs away from his communist buddies in China. He'd rather more Americans be unemployed, and dependant on government handouts. The more poor Americans the better, because then they'll vote the government more power and control over their lives. That's the progressive way.

More bullshit, the bubble started decades ago. Economists were predicting a crash of the magnitude of 2008 back in the 90's. you could not have a boom when stocks were 100's of time over inflated, you could not have people mortgaging 125-150% of their homes values, you could not have such over spending without a crash. The truth is both parties set this up for over 80 years and stupid people bury their head in the sand over the real facts.

Stop the lies. The GOP took over in 1994 and had complacent presidents for 12 years and only added fuel to the fire.

The neo-cons and corporatists have to stop the lies, because the American people know you folks are the responsible ones.

The OP blamed one person....the only President who had no impact on the crash....for the symptoms of the crash. You said bupkis in reply.

Way to be non-partisan.

Yes, the crash was the result of deregulation that took place over decades and was helped along by Clinton.

But it was definitely Bush who managed it.
