It doesn't take a convention. If 2/3 of the House and Senate approve a proposed amendment, it's then sent to the states where 3/4 of the state legislatures or state conventions convened for the purpose must approve within a specified time.

First you have to understand WHY the left attacks the 2nd amendment. Its obvious its not about gun violence, everyone knows passing more laws on already law abiding gun owners accomplishes nothing and criminals will go right on ignoring existing and any new gun control laws. So WHY is the left attacking the 2nd amendment? Because they hate the right and associate the right with the 2nd amendment, gun manufactures, and gun dealers. If the right were defenders of pink marsh mellows the idiots would attack that.

This is why you can talk yourself blue in the face pointing out that gun control is ineffective at reducing gun violence and the left just ignores it. They don't care, reducing gun violence is just a mascaraed. Pick just about any leftist issue and you will find some false front masking the real intent.
