My dad used to know him somehow or the other. I was never quite clear other than it was a WV thing. Guess West used to stay at the Greenbrier a lot or something. Said he was a super nice guy. About all I recall him saying about him.

This is a very sad day today. I grew up on Jerry West. He will definitely be missed!

My dad bought Jerry's AMC Javelin back in 1968.... I was just a baby and only remember it from home movies... West would visit a neighbor across the street and my dad fell in love with his blue AMC Javelin...
It looked just like this one...
