In addition to the drone strikes, Carter criticized the current president for keeping the Guantanamo Bay detention center open, where prisoners have been tortured by waterboarding more than 100 times or intimidated with semiautomatic weapons, power drills or threats to sexually assault their mothers.
The former president blasted the government for allowing unprecedented violations of our rights to privacy through warrantless wiretapping and government mining of our electronic communications.

I gues that blows your theory that Obama is an extreme, crazy-eyed, Lib, eh?
Wish you all would make up your mind about which category he fits into from day to day.
Carter is a racist.

It takes a special kind of fuck-up to earn Carter's condemnation!
That would be like TDM telling me, "Great Thread"
Carter is a racist.
That's a silly comment. I know what you are alluding to and I think that the premise is silly as well. Carter made some VERY valid points and it reflects upon this Administration and the previous Administration's policies.

No its torture and murder when Obama does it too. Its just you righties are so busy screaming about birth certificates and secret plots against the 2nd amendment, you completely MISS the real issues like Obamas Kill list ( which is most likely an impeachable offense )
You really dont expect us to just HAND you the keys to Obamas loss to the Etch-a-Sketch do you?
Paint with a wide brush much? Again, where are all the people who were out in force against Bush when the same was said of him? All I hear is a eerie quiet and no shouts of murderer and torturer. Where are all the protestors?
You know it has to be bad if Carter is rebuking Obama!! Yep!!

I've never stated such, nor have I thought such. I just find it refreshing that at least one person on the left is publically stating the truth instead of whitewashing it and or pretending that Obama is not doing the same things Bush was accused of.
Carter criticized Bush for pretty much the same things.

Carter "condemned" Reagan on the Air Traffic Controllers, Bush Sr on the first Gulf War, Clinton on the Lewinsky Scandal and Bush Jr on just about everything.
So that "special kind of fuck up" is essentially EVERY president since Carter was removed from office.
Like I said before, Carter is irrelevent.
Link?Carter criticized Bush for pretty much the same things.
Yes, and when he criticized Bush, all the rightwingloons accused him of committing treason.
Funny how things change.

Oh, I see. Too bad Republicans can't take a lesson from Carter and fall out of lockstep once every so often.
