Well, hate to say it, but all media has their own partisan slant on what they report, and yeah, they will embellish their stories to support whatever side they are on. That is why I take Reagan's advice of "trust but verify" to heart. If there are several outlets all saying the same thing, I generally trust what is being reported. If something sounds a bit out of the ordinary, or even outlandish, I will check other sources to try to discern the truth. Sometimes I've been surprised, and what I thought may have been outlandish is what actually happened.

And...............I've been doing that for quite a few years now. Interestingly enough, one of the sources that started me checking other sources was CNN because I used to trust them, but caught them lying and spinning stuff towards their bias, which is why I now check other sources (yeah, you guys on here call me a looney liberal, but I know CNN has their bias).

Breitbart? I've caught them lying quite a bit on quite a few occasions, which is why they are not a trusted source for me. Also one of the reasons that I view anything from Breitbart as suspect.

Wow... then with your aspect that is exemplified by Trump's statement..."both sides" i.e. media is equal on both sides... Let's do two examples:
1) That statement by Trump that YOU and millions of others that believe the BIASED MSM was all that was said. But the biased MSM didn't report as widely as they did with Trump said "fine people, on both sides" Did a Google search 74,400 results..
But Trump went on with his statement with " white nationalists — because they should be condemned totally" 2,260 results!
So how many of the millions like you ever heard that??

Like I said, they all seem to have their own bias nowadays, so I generally bounce around and see if everyone is saying the same thing. The places I check to see if they are saying the same thing? I generally bounce between several, depends on the day and what the subject is that is being reported on. Reuters, AP, and BBC is generally where I start, but others figure into that checking out thing too.
