The NBA is over 90% black, but some journalists think that blacks are underrepresented.

They actually think it's not enough that over 90% of the NBA is black, but they also want most of the coaches and owners to be black as well.

This is the Boston Celtic's HC answering a wokish question from a journalist that was designed to give the coach the opportunity to comment on racism in the NBA.

His answer shocked everyone in the room:

The question had nothing to do with black "underrepresentation" . Yes, the NBA is largely black, however in coaching and front office...well, it isn't. :)
And his answer went to a faith based response...which is what had people scratching their heads.

But it was a good talking point moment for alt-right media and Christian conservatives.

Rich Blacks could buy all the NBA teams they want to (as soon as they go on sale). I think they bought into Charlotte. How is that working out?

If you get ALL black coaches and owners.........then the worst coaches could win and won't look so bad against the Spolstras' etc.

There seem to be a trend in NFL and NBA....Black players want Black coaches only and begin to not play hard for White coaches who don't have street cred or earned their spot. They seem to play for those that have won in the past, however.

It's good to see people like Mazzulla put racist white leftists like you in your proper place.

Bull shit. He mentioned "The Plight Of Black Players In The NBA"

The journalist wanted an answer they could use as a headline and it blew up in his face.

The left thinks they need more black owners and more black HC's.

I think the NBA isn't diverse enough.

Same with all other sports.

Whites are under represented in the NFL which is over 70% black. It's even worse in the NBA.

Major League Baseball has too many foreigners which makes it difficult to follow because half them barely speak English.

But surprisingly I feel that Diversity is horse shit. The best players should be on teams and it doesn't matter what their skin color is.

Same goes for owners and coaches. There shouldn't be a set number of black coaches and owners. Or a set number of homosexual owners or league officials. Picking owners because of who they are shouldn't be even remotely any kind of consideration.

Black head coaches. Not black players. Let's get our facts straight.

The journalist was asking a pretty benign question.

Given that the racial composition of the NBA is largely black, wouldn't that be a good thing?

The racists at Fox want ignore the descepancy in ownership and front office positions. However, you don't see them asking hockey coaches any questions. Once again we see the right wing race hustle.

What is the plight of black HC's?

The journalist was asking a leading question designed to focus on non-existent issues.
The assumption that blacks need to get more jobs because of their skin color is textbook racism.

I think it would be a good thing that black players learned to respect their coaches because of their skills and success rather than the color of their skin.

This was the question asked and the response to it.

“Given the plight sometimes of black head coaches in the NBA, do you think this is a significant moment? Do you take pride in this? How do you view this, or do you not see it at all?”

Mazzulla responded, “I wonder how many of those have been Christian coaches.”

Commence the head scratching. :)

In your Alt-Right world of slanted opinions, you believe this to be true. Because of your Christian Conservative views.
The actual question the reporter posed, while not being a "non-existent" issue, was just asking Mazzula his opinion. :)

He was assuming that all blacks are willing to throw out the race-card at the slightest inducement or opportunity.

Sports is competitive so no quotes are not a good idea. the best at the job should have the position or are you arguing since the Country is 13 percent black and 60 percent white, we should fire a bunch of black players and hire more whites to make it the right mix?

There were no hints or mentions of any quotas.
It was a benign question I've heard asked of black coaches before.
