Backing in over how you need to drive out fast and easy later like at end of sports event , concert, maybe extremely crowded mall is fine others wise it’s rude and discourteous as you come to a complete stop right in the middle of traffic and others have to wait while you back and fill, often very unskillfully. We keep them in jail if their crimes are violent and obviously unprovoked. The SUV driver will be in jail….FINALLY….but he should have been in jail already for the open violent felony for abuse.

This siding with criminals by leftists has got to stop, or we will effective,y have no laws at all. Where I live, they let a rapist out of prison because they were worried he might catch COVID, so what did he do? He went straight from the prison to his victim’s house, and killed her. That very morning.

Time to stop worrying so much about criminals and thugs and more about their would-be victims.

I think the issue shouldnt be about bail, bail is just intended to insure the accused shows up for trial. It should be about speedy trials. A defendant shouldn’t have to wait a year or more to go to trial. I’d be in favor of a requirement that criminal trial be held within thirty days of an arrest and civil trials being held within six months of the complaint being filed. If we need to build and staff more courthouses, so be it. Long delays only benefit the prosecution.

Joe Biden Silent After Wisconsin Christmas Parade Tragedy

President Joe Biden was silent on Monday morning after a vehicle plowed into a crowd at a Christmas parade in Wisconsin, killing at least five people.

Biden did not make any statement about the incident, several hours after a red SUV drove into a crowd of people attending a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Police officers have identified the person driving the vehicle as Darrell Brooks, released on bail on Friday on a $1,000 bond after being charged with resisting an officer, reckless homicide, and disorderly conduct, according to the Associated Press.

In July 2020, he was charged with reckless endangering and illegal possession of a firearm.

The White House told reporters Sunday it was “closely monitoring the situation” and “our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted by this terrible incident.”

“We have reached out to state and local officials to offer any support and assistance as needed,” the White House said.

But by Monday morning Biden had not reacted to the tragic report – even after it was clear at least five people had been killed and more than 40 people were injured.

The president released his statement on renominating Jerome Powell for another term on the Federal Reserve.

Biden’s social media accounts also showed no mention of the tragedy in Wisconsin.

An arrest isn’t a conviction; it’s only the start of due process – there are those who have many arrests but never incarcerated because they were found not guilty at trial.

Unfortunately, what we have in America is a de facto doctrine of a presumption of guilt:

“If you’re under investigation or under arrest, you must have done something wrong.”

“The police don’t investigate or arrest innocent people.”

Far too many Americans fail to understand the intent of the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments; indeed, far too many have an unwarranted contempt for those Amendments, incorrectly perceiving them as being an impediment to law enforcement and a benefit to criminals who are allowed to ‘get off’ on a ‘technicality.’

People shouldn’t be arrested until there is a solid case against them unless caught in the act.

A threefold approach, stop arresting people for moral crimes like prostitution and drug use, start speedily executing people with death sentences (one appeal and done, appeal to be heard within thirty days of conviction) and build more jails and prisons. Plus speedy trials would vastly reduce jail overcrowding because pre-trial confinement would be reduced.
