The Brownback Tax Cuts, the cause of so much division, strife, poor growth, and deficits were repealed by the KS State Legislature overriding Governor Brownback's veto. That means Republicans went along with repealing trickle-down economics because even they admit it doesn't work. The reason is obvious:

SB 30 is the repeal of the tax cuts. See how repealing them suddenly creates surpluses? So tax cuts do create deficits, after all, despite what Conservatives say.

Just goes to show what a crock of shit repubican anti-government policies are.

It should be repealed nation wide and thrown into a deep hole.

maybe when other states see the positive effects on state budgets they will follow suit.

gotta start somewhere eh ..

Higher taxes on the "rich", and Redistribution of unearned wealth by civil servants = Trickle Down

Thanks for playing !!!

Kansas Is Growing Opportunity, Not Government
As with any bold policy agenda, critiques have been plentiful, but the data affirm the success of this conservative tax plan. Kansas has broken the state record for new business formations every year since the tax cuts went into effect, even though startups have decreased nationwide since the Great Recession. Kansas unemployment has plummeted to 3.9 percent, the lowest rate since 2001.

State pension systems are financially problematic for nearly every state. For over a decade, previous governors in Kansas neglected the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS), choosing instead to let state pensions survive on gains from the stock market alone. The Great Recession destroyed this shell game, and KPERS suffered. In 2012, Kansas had one of the worst-funded pension systems in the country, second only to Illinois. The system is healthier now, after the tax cuts, than it was under prior (Democratic) governors.

Kansas: An Unsung Hero For Economic Growth
Equally important from a regional perspective is that fact that Kansas is gaining ground over neighboring Missouri when it comes to gains in net adjusted gross income. In 2013, the same year that the Brownback tax cuts took effect, Kansas experienced a positive reversal in migration of wealth between the two bordering states. Kansas enjoys a nearly $85 million advantage in income gains from Missouri. This is a major reversal. Consider the data between 1995 and 2009, which shows more than $263 million leaving Kansas for Missouri.

And it is the left wanting to increase taxes. No surprise, they can't stand having to work within a smaller budget.

Maybe use information more current, pal.

Since 2012, KS has lagged the nation in GDP, business, and job growth. KS has also had its credit downgraded three times, lost its rainy day fund, had to raid its Transportation Fund, and closed public schools early due to lack of funding. KS State University Board of Regents had to increase tuition costs because of funding cuts from the State Legislature that were the result of tax cuts. Medicaid in Kansas, already not expanded thanks to SCOTUS' decision, has been cut as well causing co-pays and co-insurance and drug costs to rise, mostly for seniors but also for children and the disabled.

Oh also, it wasn't Democrats who repealed trickle-down...it was Republicans and Democrats working together.

Yeah, maybe you should too. Funding for the state university system went from$1,217,424,000 to $2,822,277,000 in 6 months from 2015, to June of 2016. Why is that? Expenses far exceed revenue. Someone needs to do some digging.
