Isn't that pretty much par for the course in politics? I've certainly never thought of politicians as people with an overabundance of class and humility.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but from my memories military members and their families have always been brought out by politicians in an attempt to gain office, or perhaps have a bill passed, or just smear an opponent. When people talk about it as though it is shocking that the family of a dead soldier would be brought to speak at a political rally I can't help but think it is a false outrage.
