Tea Partier Larry Klayman to Obama: ?Put the Quran down? | theGrio

At Sunday’s dramatic Tea Party rally at the World War II memorial in Washington, Larry Klayman, a conservative activist for FreedomWatch, claimed that President Barack Obama “bows down to Allah” and does not represent “we the people.”

The Tea Party and conservatives have been criticized for years for conflating President Obama and the Muslim religion. Despite the president’s frequent insistence that he is a Christian, some members of the right refuse to believe him and have even passed bans on Sharia Law around the country in the wake of his election.

“I call upon all of you to wage a second American nonviolent revolution, to use civil disobedience, and to demand that this president leave town, to get up, to put the Quran down, to get up off his knees, and to figuratively come up with his hands out,” said Klayman.

Klayman was among protesters and veterans fighting the closure of the WWII memorial during the ongoing government shutdown. The barricades of the memorial were broken and some were left in front of the White House.

Polarizing Republican senator Ted Cruz joined the demonstration as well as former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Neither Palin or Cruz condemned Klayman’s comments about the president.

Why condemn the comments when they are true.
