This resulted in Nikolas Cruz being able to pass a background check, and purchase weapons used to kill 17 innocents.

Once a kid is in the juvenile system, their life is on a downward spiral. FACT. Parkland sent Cruz to an alternative school when he couldn't be safely housed at Parkland. They did what they could to help a mentally deranged kid, but it is not entirely their fault that they failed and it is certainly not the fault of Obama's Promise Program. Cruz was really troubled and for some reason our country is terribly reluctant to deal with that problem. I don't know why, but there is too much emphasis on rights for the insane right now. I keep waiting for the pendulum to swing back toward center but in the meantime we have seriously screwed up people wandering around -- the Waffle House shooter was another -- with no recourse.

Parkland sent Cruz to an alternative school when he couldn't be safely housed at Parkland. They did what they could to help a mentally deranged kid, but it is not entirely their fault that they failed and it is certainly not the fault of Obama's Promise Program. Cruz was really troubled and for some reason our country is terribly reluctant to deal with that problem. I don't know why, but there is too much emphasis on rights for the insane right now. I keep waiting for the pendulum to swing back toward center but in the meantime we have seriously screwed up people wandering around -- the Waffle House shooter was another -- with no recourse.

All the referrals this kid had to special programs doesn't mean anything to you at all about the attempts that were made to get him through school? It is their mandated job, you know. They don't actually have a choice. He needed more and he didn't get it. That was all I was saying. You can blame whoever you please. I am just pointing out the glaring elephant in the room that some people would prefer to ignore and just spout off something simplistic that is in no way connected to reality.
