Leftists: Please explain to me how democracy is in jeopardy

Democrats realize their ideas are really fucked up in an un-American kind of way, but they don't care. Their radical need for total control trumps everything else. At this point, there is no limit to the punishment Democrats will put the American people through, to reach their sick totalitarian goals. And they think that all it takes to clear themselves is to accuse Republicans of exactly what they are doing, but I don't think Americans are that stupid. We'll see tomorrow.

Because retards don't know what the word, "Democracy" means. If they're all for voting, secure elections, and an elected president from an election outcome, then they would have accepted Trump as their president. Yet they feel democracy is under attack. It's evident Lefties are thick as fuck.

The problem is nobody can explain it: Trump said this or Trump said that. That is not a threat to democracy. People say all kinds of things every day. Dementia said there is no inflation. He said the border is secure. He said if you get the shot you will not get covid.

A threat to democracy is a way to get rid of it or around it.

your home is your castle and with women that includes their own bodies. You can do anything you want as long as you don’t break any laws.
Sure, if you aren't breaking laws. That sort of the point, there are laws and have been laws, regarding abortion. A right to privacy doesn't mean you can violate them

Well, let’s see…

Voting for Trump itself was a threat to democracy.

Propagating election lies – lies about ‘fraud,’ ‘cheating,’ and elections being ‘stolen.’

Defending the 1/6 rightwing terrorists; downplaying, minimizing, and attempting to mitigate the 1/6 rightwing terrorist attack.

Supporting and voting for Republican officeholders and candidates who engage in gerrymandering, who oppose voting by mail and early voting; Republican candidates and officeholders who shutdown voting venues in minority communities making it more difficult for voters of color to vote.

Supporting and voting for Republican election officials who will reject or invalidate ballots in bad faith because they don’t like the outcome of an election, falsely claiming ‘fraud’ or ‘cheating.’

Supporting voter intimidation, perceiving Democrats as ‘the enemy.’

Opposition to consensus and compromise.

Indeed, Republicans, conservatives, and others on the right are engaged in an ongoing campaign to spread misinformation, conspiracy theories, and lies intended to hobble the political process and undermine our democratic institutions.
What a complete fucking asshole. ^^^

People like this are DANGEROUS to our democracy.

Inciting hatred and lying their asses off for their party.

24 hours and these dumbfucks get the boot.

It seems to me that today all adequate people should understand that there is no alternative to socialism. Otherwise, barbarism, genocide, degradation and death of humanity. But for some reason this understanding is not in sight. It looks like the timer has already started ticking and it's too late to cut the wires. The world is doomed. Anyway, Happy 105 years of Ocober revolution day!
Dumbass ^^^ :p

Trump lost. By December 14 2020 all states certified their results. Trump was defeated, he was and still is the loser.

On Jan6 Trump brought a massive mob of his supporters to DC on the false basis that on that day a massive crowd became the weapon that could stop the steal.

Trump’s words were in fact a threat to democracy when he told his riled up mob that he could win the election on that day,

He told his mob that he and they could win Stopping what was going on in Congress that day.

A protest is not a 'weapon".
It’s not a “protest” when the loser of an election is a first term president who had amassed an angry mob to stop the Constitutional process that is necessary for his outgoing administration to transfer power Constitutionally to the incoming administration that won the election.

That went beyond protest when Trump announced that Jan6 was for him to win the election by stopping the stolen election that he lost..

The mob was the weapon - strength in numbers - that was mobilized to “Stop the Steal”

It's the new catch phrase of the left: Our democracy is in danger if you vote Republican. Now, I've asked leftists on USMB how is democracy threatened if we vote Republican, and not one can give me a coherent answer or in most cases, any answer at all. Like robots, just repeat what you are told to repeat. Since I never got any answer, I'm creating a topic on it to see if somebody, anybody on the left can explain this threat to me.

On the right there was 1/6, a one day event that lasted several hours but resulted in business carried out as usual. No Republican representative supported it. No right-wing radio or television host supported it. And it happened nearly two years ago.

On the left you had the FBI engage in assisting the Democrat party by obtaining warrants with false applications to spy on a political foe, pressuring major social media companies to remove any posts about Hunter Biden's laptop scandal which resulted in Biden's win, two phony impeachments, attacking pro-life people protesting abortion clinics and arresting them, and more recently a President asking an oil producing nation to withhold their announcement they intend to cut oil production to help his party in a midterm election; something they based their first phony impeachment on President Trump for even though he never did any such thing.

So which party is the actual threat to democracy here?

Conservatives denying the fact that there was Russian interference in the 2016 election – and ongoing interference – is a threat to democracy.

He held a rally, just like the Communists do all the time. The difference is we didn't blame Shoemaker for the attack on the Supreme court. We didn't blame Sanders for the attempted murder of Republican representatives at the ball park. Unlike Democrats, we hold the parties responsible for their own actions, not blame their actions on somebody else for cheap political gain. Garland refused to do his job and take action against the protesters gathering at Kavanaugh's house which ultimately led to the arrest of a man who planned an assassination of the judge. We blamed the person who created the plot.

If you think a bunch of yahoos dressed like fake wrestlers could takeover a democracy, we are the weakest country on the planet.

A protest is not a 'weapon". Your statement necessitates that Trump called them there for violence.
That is a falsehood. willfully made.
It’s not just me telling you the truth:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell delivered remarks from the Senate floor on Saturday after a historic vote to acquit former President Donald Trumpin his second impeachment trial.

Read his remarks below provided by McConnell's office, as prepared for delivery:

https://www.weny.com/story/43345631...n-the-senate-floor-following-trumps-acquittal

"January 6th was a disgrace.

"American citizens attacked their own government. They used terrorism to try to stop a specific piece of democratic business they did not like.

"Fellow Americans beat and bloodied our own police. They stormed the Senate floor. They tried to hunt down the Speaker of the House. They built a gallows and chanted about murdering the Vice President.

"They did this because they had been fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on Earth — because he was angry he'd lost an election.

"Former President Trump's actions preceding the riot were a disgraceful dereliction of duty.

There is no question that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of that day.

"The people who stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their President.

"And their having that belief was a foreseeable consequence of the growing crescendo of false statements, conspiracy theories, and reckless hyperbole which the defeated President kept shouting into the largest megaphone on planet Earth.

"The issue is not only the President's intemperate language on January 6th.

"It is not just his endorsement of remarks in which an associate urged 'trial by combat.'

"It was also the entire manufactured atmosphere of looming catastrophe; the increasingly wild myths about a reverse landslide election that was being stolen in some secret coup by our now-President.

"I defended the President's right to bring any complaints to our legal system. The legal system spoke. The Electoral College spoke. As I stood up and said clearly at the time, the election was settled.
