With all its possible problems Obamacare appears to have at least its hear was in the right place. Charge the freeloaders for health insurance whenever they try for a tax refund and eliminate Anthem Insurance's death panels (if you must call them that) and at least make them the government's.

Over the next two years a bit of gridlock might just lower the deficit. I hope they don't manage to over ride a veto and get us back to the Nixon, Carter and Reagan era of socialized freeloader healtcare and living under the fear of having a pre existing condition.

Yes, it would be just terrible if small businesses and large businesses no longer had to pay premiums for healthcare for their empolyees...and that savings lured companies back on shore to provide more jobs...making more people employed and having money...making consumer confidence go up, creating more jobs and more disposable income to create even more demand...

Just horrible. I have nightmares just thinking about it.

If they wanna fine tune Obamacare fine.

Under the old system, you, your company and me all paid for the socialized healthcare for the poor and freeloaders we had.

Consider in 2007 I knew an unfortunate gal with a bad gallbladder. She got surgery for the $100 the hospital took when she walked in. Then u know who paid the rest by the time that hospital claimed it as a loss on their taxes and passdd on the rest of the cost to its other customers? Me, you and our businesses.

Now every time she files a tax return looking for a refund they will at least fine her.

The ACA came upon as during a very bed economic cycle. It was the wrong shit at the wrong time.

I've been self-insured for my entire 37 year career. Now my premiums are increasing at an inordinate pace, and the deductible/co-pay/out of pocket shit is unbearable. It costs more to insure my family than it does to own a fucking home.

Yes it does.

The problem is my father's cancer treatments in 03 and 04 cost only 15k less than my house. Lord forbid he lived long enough for them to put it into remission or to suffer from something else.

My father in law is a fairly well off fella in Texas. He has a form of ACA I think the abbreviation is that has robbed him of his ability to communicate and now something else. He spent a few weeks in Texas Presbitarian (the ebola hospital!) and now some other hospital. I am going to ask my step mother in law if she'll get me an itemized total once it is done. That is going to dwarf the cost of my home on an acre a few miles from Ferguson.

The GOP answer to ObamaCare is Shut Up And Die Quietly.

At least Romney's state had compulsary insurance if I recall. 50 different systems woukd just lead to apartment renting where the good insurance was in this globalized world I fear.

Everytime she files a return now the government will give her a subsidy to pay her insurance.

Obamacare is just a more organized theft than the previous system.

If the government gave a damn about healthcare they would build hospitals and clinics.

I do not disagree about the subsidy. Wanna refine the numbers please do. I think the $99 or whatever we got from her this year was low myself. However much more we get next year is what we are gonna get though. That's a smart blond girl who knows the system.

Besides building hospitals we gotta staff em. That will mean we need doctors who are not practicing now. If you wanna lower malpractice claim payouts please do. I might ask for a roulette wheel style of deciding where we get treated when we call an ambulance though. Just to keep it fair for me vs others in picking good doctors.

Damn right. For what they spent on the ACA they could have put a free clinic in every city/town/village in the US and staffed it 24/7.

Then fine the shit out of idiots stupid enough to go to hospital ERs instead of the clinics.

If we could get more over night or at least until midnight urgent cares that would be great. When I slided my thumb webbing and needed them stitches urgent care was great. If it hapoened a few hours later or in my zip code urgent care would have been closed.

Plus my darned primary doc is soo busy I don't know if he could handle 10 percent more of his patients showing up.

I hear some votes for more doctors and programs which would require more doctors Think we need to lay them better or just encourage our kids or kick out tax breaks for medical school or lower standards or what?

I couldnt agree more. My HC costs are going up by 30% because of the ACA. I will be paying more and my tax dollar will be paying for every freeloader in America who can't take care of himself.

Oh and LUD, by all means. Roll up in the corner and die if you can't pay for your health care. I could care less.

Yup, that's right. Go back to letting insurance companies determine if you get healthcare and when someone is declined coverage, let them just go home and fucking die there.

And let the uninsured flood the ERs and drive everyone's health insurance through the roof that way. Pay now, pay later...it's that simple. The health care industry needs money to survive just like any business, and they are going to get it by any means possible.

You mean like hospitals that don't pay property taxes, right?

You love how they think they have a right to call people, FREELOADERS?

But call someone on welfare lazy or talk about not EXTENDING unemployment benefits past TWO YEARS their hypocrite heads explode

the only freeloader I see is the one who started this thread

I don't understand. If you are talking about me I spent paragraphs complaining about someone I know (meaning also ppl like her) who milked the old socialist system we had before Obamacare.

Now in a few years I believe the penalties will get worse and we will take what we think we can from her for health insurance via the IRS.

Not the perfect system but hey, lets modify it not go back to pretending we have the gumption to throw those who can't pay out on the street and really paying for healthcare for the poor on the back end. Maybe it was all the talk about christian values and a god based nation that softened us up. Who knows.

I honestly don't know if hospitals pay property taxes. Some operate like non profits but then again so does the NFL and its commissioner isn't exactly living like a nun.

Lead me further down your train of thought.

Now this is a post with some guts telling someone to roll up and die. All this Christian based caring if they go to heaven kinder gentler stuff gave us a confused socialist style healthcare system and then healthcare got expensive.

Claudette, that's a big step throwing upper middle class white people out in the street when they can't pay for that kidney. It may just start a revolution because the masses aren't in tune with you. I personally don't want em lyin there in the gutter devaluing my property.

What is more of your plan?
