Did you even read that article? You do realize that the first sentence is, "Many people think the mainstream media have a liberal bias." You do realize that liberals are included in that "many people" category right? Pretty much everybody knows that most media sources are left leaning...just as most people know Fox News is right leaning. You are attempting to defeat a straw man viewpoint here.

The article was saying that most mainstream media has a left leaning bias. Most people know this fact. Your original post seemed to indicate that you felt most "liberals" denied that fact. Feel free to correct me on this point if I am wrong.

With that said, saying that the media is far to the left of its consumers...which include both left and right wing people...after acknowledging that the media is left leaning is like saying the sky blue during the daytime when there are no clouds. You could say that Fox News is far right of its consumers too, who, while perhaps being more right leaning than an unbiased sample, undoubtedly includes thousands of independent and even liberal consumers (for instance, I was forced to watch Fox News everyday while in the military...it was the only news source we got).

If the media were not biased with a liberal bent, there would be no success in Conservative Talk Radio or Fox News. Liberals have even tried to replicate talk radio and Fox News models and failed. Why? Because Liberals have already saturated most of the media. The numbers speak for themselves.
