Liberals, Who Do You Think Provides the Kinds of Jobs You Say You Want?

Let's try more common sense. Suppose you have a single mom working as a waitress making $2,400 per month with no benefits (no paid vacation time, no matching 401K, no sick time, no health insurance). Now suppose Big Company A is allowed to keep more of its profits and therefore expands and hires the single mom as a customer service rep for $3,200 per month and with a decent benefits package and with steady, reliable hours. Is that "trickle down"? No, that's expansion and pulling up. That's money that allows a company to expand and to pull more people into middle-income jobs, the kinds of jobs that liberals always say they want for everyone. It's expansion and lifting up, not trickle down.

And guess what? Big Company A's expansion leads to increased profits and bigger salaries for its senior execs, so the "income gap" between those execs and the single mom has increased! SO WHAT? Do you think the single mom minds?

Suppose you get a big raise and decide to pay the teen who mows your lawn $5 more per job. Oh, but the "income gap" between you and the teen has gone up! SO WHAT? Do you think he minds?

As JFK said, "A rising tide lifts all boats."
