Riddle me this.............Does Lois get to decide which questions to answer in a court of law. Pleading the 5th when she doesn't like the questions.......Can she be held in contempt of court for doing so.................

If she wanted to take the 5th in the hearings, she should have done so immediately and not said a dang thing.

She will eventually get her day in court. It's coming where she cannot perform these tricks that were allowed at the hearings.

So Holder WON'T be appointing a special prosecutor because Holder's unwillingness to investigate this is the REASON one is needed in the first place...Congress will do that!

Here's a news flash for you...that will be taking place for much of the year leading up to the next election...an Independent Counsel with only one goal...to expose who knew what about the IRS scandal and when did they know it. You mistakenly think Lois Lerner's taking the 5th has worked out well for you...but all it's done is move when this scab is ripped off closer to the election that determines who will control the Senate. If innocent people don't need the Fifth Amendment, why do we need a Fifth Amendment at all?

Why did the Founders see fit to put it in the constitution.

It was not the first time comparing these proceeding to court proceeding regarding the use of the 5th have been brought up in this voluminous thread. There are parallels. A defendant gets accused of a crime and makes a plea. In Ms. Lerner's case members of the committee have publically accused her. She gave her reply of not guilty.

Lois Lerner got her job during the Bush administration.

That's nice, but Bush isn't the President anymore. Obama is. The fact that she was hired during the Bush era is irrelevant. This shit happened during the Obama Administration.

Taking the Fifth means that you have a grounded genuine concern that what you say could be used against you in a criminal proceeding.

If she has an actual fear that her behavior might make her liable for criminal prosecution, and possibly a conviction, she has every right to assert her Constitutional RIGHT to remain silent.

So what you're saying is that even though a crime may have been committed...those responsible shouldn't be punished because Barry will use Presidential pardons to get them out of jail? So the people who work for US Presidents don't have to worry about the rule of law in "JoeB World"...they can break every law on the books because the President they work for will just give them a pardon...is that the way you see it?
