L.A. council declares shelter crisis in effort to help the homeless
LINK: L.A. council declares shelter crisis in effort to help the homeless

"With an estimated 26,000 people calling Los Angeles sidewalks, cars and storm drains home, city officials on Tuesday approved an expanded campaign to help the homeless this winter by opening public buildings as temporary shelters and allowing people to sleep inside vehicles in designated lots.

The move comes as Los Angeles’ homeless population has multiplied across the region and Southern California is expected to be hit by severe rainstorms and possible flooding from El Niño, which could put unsheltered residents at increased risk."

One out of 50 children or 1.5 million children in America will be homeless each year. In 2013 that number jumped to one out of 30 children, or 2.5 million.

There were an estimated 57,849 homeless veterans estimated in the United States during January 2013; or 12 percent of all homeless adults.

By the numbers:
  • In January 2014, there were 578,424 people experiencing homelessness on any given night in the United States. (Probably a low number considering LA is reporting 26,000 by itself)
  • Of that number, 216,197 are people in families, and
  • 362,163 are individuals.
  • About 15 percent of the homeless population – 84,291 - are considered "chronically homeless” individuals, and
  • About 9 percent of homeless people- 49,933 - are veterans.

So WHY are we bringing in MILLIONS of Illegals and 100,000 Syrian 'Refugees', some of whom probably are ISIS fighters who want to kill us, when there ate over 1/2 a MILLION Americans - approximately 50,000 Vets - who are homeless?!

'Charity begins at home'... Why aren't we taking care of our own people before pompously and arrogantly trying to save the rest of the world1st?

Why are we protecting Sanctuary Cities that house, feed, and care for criminals who victimize American citizens but have no charity for the nearly 50,000 Vets who sacrificed for this country? Why are we bringing 100,000 Syrians here - giving them housing, food, clothes, money, etc...while 'out on the sidewalk in front of the Syrian Refugee's new apartment is a vet sleeping on the sidewalk...is a car parked where a single mother and her kid LIVE?!

:wtf:
