Critics are raving... I am not. More like... uh... it is the same movie as Fury.
And it is. It is not a different story, it is the same story as Fury, with less talented actors.
Anya Joy Taylor was terrific in Queens Gambit - but she is no Charlize Theron.
She is also too small and skinny to be kicking anyone's ass.
So if you want to watch Mad Max Fury with different actors - go for it.

I watched it last evening.....It was just OK for mindless entertainment.

I havent seen it yet, and although i did enjoy Fury Road, they are getting awful cartoony with these stories. They need to keep it simple, like "The Road Warrior". Post apocalyptic gang wants the oil refinery, good guys are defending it. Super simple, but fun as all get out.

And did you notice that the scope somehow magically zooms in like a telescope?
Also - the best sniper in the world can't make two headshots at 1000 yards one second apart.

But besides that, there is one simple fact the movie will not get beyond
Anya Taylor joy is no Charlize Theron
Chris Hemsworth is no Tom Hardy.
Hardy and Theron were fantastic in Fury.
Hemsworth was better as his character than Joy was hers.

Sidenote - good luck trying to bite through a steel reinforced fuel hose. Somehow, apparently an 8 year old can do it as if it is a plastic straw

I thought Chris Hemsworth did OK as far as his role went.....He made good peaches.

And she made one shot in a wind storm, turned the rifle the opposite direction, and didn't have to adjusr the scope. It is a "self adjusting scope" that recalculates for wind.
