The Republican diatribe has always been that people should find work with the money the government provides to them when they request Unemployment Benefits. But in reality that is not always possible. Who wouldn't want to get *much higher wages* by having a real job than the mere chickenfeed that Unemployment Benefits provide! However, hard as they may try to find work that may not always be possible with employers not hiring or not 'wanting' to hire those on unemployment for one reason or another. You go ask them why they didn't hire them. And you know who many times suffer the most? The *children* of those on unemployment. That is why the excuse Republicans use that they should just find a job quickly before their benefits run out is a very callous, cold, and insensitive way of looking at this serious matter. If they still want those folks to work despite potential employers failing to give them work or hire them, then the Republicans should be the ones to offer them a job as they can well afford to do so! And in the process, those folks would not have to rely on the citizens to foot the bill when they or their children get sick and they have to resort to going to a hospital or clinic because they don't have adequate insurance for a private doctor. But perhaps the Republicans simply prefer for citizens to foot the bill on these folks rather than extend unemployment benefits to help families in dire need and especially their children. It sure appears that way so there is little room for doubt on that!
