If it already wasn't, The Supreme Court Is Now On The Ballot.

Please stop pretending the Court's majority isn't imposing ideologically driven policy positions on the country. In the vernacular of the times, "legislating from the bench." Otherwise you embarrass yourself.
The court has been interpreting the constitution with integrity and logic. They have not--as yet--devolved into a body that no longer knows something as simple as "What is a woman."

Oh absolutely. They are imposing a strictly constitutional ideology of our Founders, and CITE the case law in their every decision. Can you name one decision of theirs that violates the Constitution? What is missing is that they are not ruling along far left socialist lines for a change. Are you going to cry like a little girl now just because a few SC decisions are not going your way for a change? Are you really THAT arrogant to think that any ruling they make which does not comport with YOUR ideology or wishes is flawed and ideological after leftwing justices imposing leftwing ideological decisions on us for YEARS?

Otherwise you embarrass yourself.
☝️ Says one of the biggest embarrassments to this board.

.

Biden and the democrats are a danger to Democracy. The Supreme court is the third, equal branch of government. The democrats are facists using the executive branch of government like they are dictators.
A. You keep telling us we are not a Democracy. Make up your mind

B. Getting rid of Presidential immunity is the OPPOSITE of dictatorial

As usual the left has it backwards. The U.S. government consists of three separate but equal branches. Two branches are on the ballot but the 3rd isn't.
The Supreme Court is always on the ballot.

Dems forgot that and got this

So you think it's a coincidence that their unconventional thinking (to be kind) has lead them to overturn established precedent as the Federalist Society expected they would when they..........I mean trump.........nominated them? They simply know better than the justices that came before them because why...........their ideological extremism makes them so?

Which is a non-starter. You folks are getting all moist over nothing, then you whine even more when you actually realize it. How sad.
Even if it's a longshot I'd rather see them try something rather than sit on their hands and whine. Dems need to get mobilized and exercise the power of the majority they hold. Repubs have scratched and clawed and schemed for decades to put themselves in a position of minority rule. We need to display the same kind of energy and planning or the majority will continue to get steamrolled.

LMAO Biden's own party is trying to pink slip him. In desperation he tosses the rabid left some red soy based meat.
Whether your characterization is right or not it's still the right thing to do for the country. The Court has lost its credibility. Anyone paying attention understands it is in the tank for trump.

Whether you loons do something or not, you whine either way. Nothing is going to happen, there is literally nothing wrong, other than you don't like the rulings.

Democrats constantly run to the courts to block the will of the people and undermine their political opponents. That they don't control the highest court in the land and that courts continues to bitch slap their lawfare BS really pisses Dems off.

In answer, not that you will understand, please show me in any part of the constitution where abortion is addressed. The US constitution has made it very clear that if an issue is NOT addressed, it becomes a matter to be decided by the individual states. Educate yourself. The court ruling was absolutely correct.

It’s hard to know the precise combination of developments that changed President Biden’s mind about Supreme Court reforms and prompted him to place them more centrally in the framework of the 2024 election.

Was it the ethics scandals of Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito and the Supreme Court’s own ineptitude in dealing with them? Was it the series of controversial decisions across a whole host of issues and areas of civic life in which the court wrested power away from the executive and legislative branches and placed it firmly in the judicial branch? Was it the six-justice conservative majority aggressively uprooting the court’s own precedents in pursuit of its own preferred legal and policy outcomes? Was it the fact that he’s trailing in the polls with his own re-election more at risk that at any previous point in his presidency?

All of the above are in play, of course. A tipping point was reached, and it’s unlikely any one development was the difference-maker.

trump's Court's popularity is in the shitter. Deservedly so. Perhaps this is a move by Joe to capitalize on voter sentiment. No matter the motive, reform is overdue. There must be accountability for crass ethics violations and for the lack of recusals when there are demonstrable conflicts of interest (hello Clarence). I can understand the Founders wanting to somewhat insulate the Court in order to maintain its independence. But they did not contemplate such a corrupt Court nor such polarized times.
I would be shocked if half the country could tell you about balance of powers, how many SC justices there are, how they are appointed, and what their significance is.

This is not a rabid conservative court.. GOP appointed judges constantly rule against seemingly conservative desires (Roberts, Kavanaugh for sure)

You’re just angry it’s no longer a leftist court, so a balanced one seems radically conservative to you

No major precedent has been changed. Roberts is basically against any major changes on anything. You probably don’t even know anything about the SCOTUS norms outside of the rabid hysterics that MSNBC/media, the Democrats, and social media tell you. Meanwhile, all of these rabid fear monger’s immediately shut up when things go their way. They have no credibility

Democrats have zero tolerance for any viewpoint or outcome that's not of the Dem world view.

Bottom line, if our elected reps and senators did their job, part of which is to determine if a proposed law is constitutional, it would short-circuit these moronic issues coming before the SCOTUS. Most of the fault for clogging the courts falls on the lawmakers.

View attachment 978851TRANSLATION: Having a supreme court as our Constitution specifies as a co-equal branch that actually decides issues by the law even when they screw the democrat's far-leftist agenda just isn't going to fly if the democrat party is to survive as the marxist arm of the government! We either gotta get rid of conservatives, expand it to include a whole lot more social reorganizers, or we must disband it and the electoral college so we can rule by MOB with deep blue California and New York states deciding every election, and screw the other 48 states!
Yep! Exactly this. Our country was founded as a Federal Republic with checks and balances so that the Mob or 51% of the country does NOT decide what the rest of the 49% will do. The idea that Trump or conservatism is a "threat to democracy" is utter ludicrous based on the actual actions of many on the left.
