My universal proposal:
From today onward: Zero tolerance for sexual harassment, assault, whatever.
For the past: Take any and all feasible actions against the perpetrators, whether it is legal action, civil action, employee disciplinary action, or whatever.
For the distant past, where no formal action is feasible. STFU. Move on.
Ruining someone's career, life, and reputation over something that happened many years ago, and was never complained about is bullshit.
