My universal proposal:

From today onward: Zero tolerance for sexual harassment, assault, whatever.

For the past: Take any and all feasible actions against the perpetrators, whether it is legal action, civil action, employee disciplinary action, or whatever.

For the distant past, where no formal action is feasible. STFU. Move on.

Ruining someone's career, life, and reputation over something that happened many years ago, and was never complained about is bullshit.

Where do we go? Well for starters I'd suggest to Washington to confront all the sitting jackasses with a demand for an accounting of every House or Senate member who got his or her dick/teat in the wringer and taxpayers' money was used to hush things up and save their worthless asses.
