McDonald’s CA franchisee on new minimum wage: "The sheer scale of the impact is just breathtaking"

No, I’m trying to get a number from you... What is the number of burgers you have to prepare to = being “worth” $20 an hour?

You seem to think you can find someone who can do $20 an hour worth of labor at McDonalds. So lets hear it bub.

By using an equation for "physics work" just because the word work is involved? That's retarded.

Basic economics says labor added is the same thing as a material cost, with the same rules at the end that predict the lowest price a person can sell said product to at minimum break even, and at best make some form of profit.

If you raise the cost of labor beyond the value of the labor, then you either have to reduce the cost of that labor, raise the cost of your product, for find savings somewhere else.

And if you go from making $12 an hour to zero?

Or prices rise because now with the worst workers making $20 an hour better workers start demanding more?

So your supposed gain gets eaten by reactionary inflation.

I didn't do shit. What Dems want is to somehow promote entry level jobs as careers, and they are clearly not that.
Yes you did.

You supported companies moving production overseas because, capitalism.
You're anti-union.

Democrats never supported burger flipping as a career. It was all that was left when you and yours finished moving good jobs overseas, destroying unions, and helping companies replace American workers with low cost illegal labor all in the name of defending capitalism.

Consider this an "employment tax"
Employers are now paying for the welfare their employees are entitled to receive. Less welfare should make you happy.

Just like big business has a choke hold on plebs with their price fixing and gouging of the consumer.
Most fast food locations are franchises and small businesses

The corporate logo is misleading

Actually they can just move to the Southern US to avoid that problem. And WTO support is a Dem thing, remember?

These laws are all the evidence you need of Dems supporting it.

Paying someone $20 for $10 worth of work just keeps them down and out, and voting Dem.

Actually, the steel mills starting closing down during the Far Left Regime of Jimmy "Mr. Peanut" Carter. September 1977 was Black Monday for the steel industry, and the beginning of the end for Big Labor's dominance.

Odd they don't find multi-million dollar pay at the top sheer breathtaking.

in ~2002 a CEO of a $13B company made $750K. They had over 33,000 employees world-wide (many highly paid in the $100K range to $250K). When they give 33,000 a $10K raise? How much is that annually? $330 million additional salary baked in? then next raise costs more too. It aint easy to manage it, and grow and plan.

But the stock shares the CEO had been granted or optioned could be sold off for tens of millions yes. So yes the make big money….off and in when they sell. If the stock doubles amd yow own it, so do you.

Ok, so the owner buys fewer avocado toasts instead of the corporate CEO, who could ease the "burden" of having employees that aren't government subsidized by lowering the franchise payments.

Always fun to see progs demand sacrifice from people they despise.

So move all fast food restaurants to Alabama?
One wonders if people actually think about this stuff before hitting that blue button.

if it comes to “can no longer compete” or forced to move MFG to save and keep some jobs in America? Uh….GOVT allowed the Chinese, Japanese and Koreans to dump goods in here. Nothing us easy as you should understand.

What many owners will do is replace people with robots

Not a good thing when biden is ushering in millions of illegal aliens/fake asylum seekers the we are required to take care of
