Michigan's 1st Gay Marriage License Issued - ABC News

Two women were the first gay couple to marry in Michigan on Saturday, one day after the state's ban on gay marriage, approved by voters in a landslide in 2004, was scratched from the state constitution by a federal judge.

Glenna DeJong, 53, and Marsha Caspar, 51, both of Lansing, were married by Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum in Mason just after her office opened at 8 a.m. Saturday. Byrum said it was an honor to marry same-sex couples who have waited too long for this day.

Little by little, the crazy haters are losing this battle.

Congratulations and all best wishes to those who have had to wait for the equal rights guaranteed them by their constitution.

And once again the will of ALL the people is just tossed in the trash thanks to some tyrant in a robe leftist commie "judge" who thinks its title makes it above the people...Sure hope there is enough rope to tend to all the scum when justice day comes a calling.

The will of the people be damned.

This is good news for sodomites everywhere.

No law is going to make the people accept this atrocity. They will just have to bring the fight home. It's now personal. Instead of being Constitutional, it's really unconstitutional as this law does not have the consent of the governed.

It all comes down to this basic FACT:

You can't legislate or regulate MORALITY or IMMORALITY. Both are subjective.

Personally, I don't CARE if homos get married. It does not affect me, or anybody I know.

Gay marriage is a RELIGIOUS issue. Period.

The out-of-control divorce rate in this country CHEAPENS the sanctity of marriage. Gay marriage further cheapens the sanctity of marriage.

The "anything goes" attitude in this country started during the Clinton regime, and it has steadily picked up momentum.

And here we see one of the more important aspects of Constitutional case law, American citizens realizing their comprehensive civil liberties.

Meanwhile, HIV rates amongst gays still is increasing.

That's one thing we can be thankful for. Aids kills fags.

And above we see examples illustrating another important aspect of the Constitution and its case law: protecting citizens from this sort of ignorance and hate.

Coming from the degenerates on this forum being called a hater, bigot, racist, anti semite etc is a badge of honor. So thank you.

Well the interest of some in this issue I doubt surprise anyone as to the why. Their interest seems quite anal.

What is such a lie is that those who take such great pleasure in posting these kind of threads is that they give a crap about gay marriage. What they like is winning. They like abusing power over someone else. They could care less about the sodomites they are only happy when they think that someone is being forced to accept what they really give a crap about in the first place. Rather sick.

The government is not allowed to discriminate even if the people will it. It's that simple.

Sure hope there is enough rope to tend to all the scum when justice day comes a calling.

There will never be any such day because people like you talk a lot of shit, but you're nothing more than keyboard warriors.

You might want to read the 14th Amendment some time.

ok, now what?

are we suppose to stand on our heads, do cartwheels, have an orgasm...?

We are supposed to pretend that because same sex marriage was imposed by an activist judge, the people now welcome it.

The people amended our MI constitution to define the definition of marriage to be between a man and a women. Then some all powerful judge steps inn and changes that?....Bullshit, this Judge encouraged these women to change their original suit on gay adaption, into a challenge the MI marriage amendment. He knew what he was doing:mad:
