One of many reasons is because Alabama has two US senators who pass laws that affect the entire nation?. They are elected by a white Christian nationalists majority who exiect we should tolerate their disbelief in the separation of church and state. Banning abortion is driven mostly by white Christians who believed up until about a month ago that the Republican Party was the only place to go to do the will of Jesus to SAVE Baby Fetuses nationwide. Believing the US was based on Christian principles is not Christain Nationalism. that term is just trying to associate anyone who is faithful to WHITE Nationalism, i.e. being Nazis.
