Mitt Romney Is the 2016 Republican Front-Runner

Romney blamed himself and his campaign for his loss.

It was not a good campaign, he should have realized that he was going against the dem machine and the media. he should have been in full attack mode from the beginning. He tried to be honest and fair, and that does not work against democrats.
Romney should have run as the Massachusetts moderate that he is.

actually he did, thats why so many conservatives stayed home and helped elect obama.

How could he possibly be any worse that the abject failure that's in office now?

Well let's see. Last Republican President entered office with a balanced budget, a minor recession, and no wars. In his terms we were hit by terrorists to the tune of 3000 dead Americans on American soil. And at the end of his terms, 7 years later, the mastermind of that deed was still alive and well. That President started a war on the basis of lies he himself told, that cost us trillions of dollars, and over 4000 American lives, and neither we nor the Iraqies gained anything from it. After going into Afghanistan, that Republican President abandoned it to the point the Taliban became a major force once again there.

In the meantime, back at home, that President turned a once booming economy into what was almost the Second Great Republican Depression.

When President Obama was handed the baton and took office, we were losing 500,000 jobs a month, the market was headed for 6000, and it looked like '29 all over again. Today, the market is around 16,000, the jobs are coming back, in spite of the GOP doing everything in it's power to prevent any economic progress.

Abject failure, that is your tune, boy. 2008  2012:razz:

go back to sleep, rocks. your rants are bullshit and you know it.
Please, tell us what Old Rocks said that was untrue.

Romney would be a hell of a lot better than what's sitting in the Oval office right now. At least he has EXPERIENCE in private sector jobs--something Obama never accomplished.

But he's not going to run again--Ann Romney stated that prior to the last election--she's had it.

Welcome to your hope and change!

Obama won, the country lost.

Romney would have been a great president.

I don't blame him a bit for not wanting to go through the cess pool of media and dem lies again.
Romney blamed himself and his campaign for his loss.

Romney is a two-time loser....we'd be in worse shape if he had won. Thank God there are smart people who didn't vote for him.

So how do you feel about Hillary? Does she send a thrill up your leg? Or not really? She not liberal enough?

Why on earth would you think he is the same person he was in 2004? Who is?

Well Reagan was far worse than Obama.

And Mitt sorta likes Reagan.

But at least Reagan's religion wasn't stealing Jewish Souls.
Reagan was far worse then Obama?

Ol' Ronnie Raygun brought the Iranian Hostage Crisis to a happy conclusion.

Ol' Ronnie Raygun rebuilt the nations defenses after Jimmah Abduhl Carter let 'em deteriorate on his watch.

Ol' Ronnie Raygun spent the Soviets into the ground and set the stage for the collapse of Communism in Russia and throughout the Warsaw Pact nations of Eastern Europe.

He may have made one helluva lot of mistakes.

But he was a no-nonsense, cut-the-bullshit type who got things done.

I can't imagine Ronnie bowing waist-deep to an Arab sheik or kinglet, and embarrassing his country.

Then again, Ronnie had governing experience as the Governor of California.

Obumble, on the other hand, had a few unproductive years in the Illinois State Senate, and had not even finished-out his rookie term in the US Senate, before being tapped and annointed by the DNC as the new Rock Star Messiah.

Complete with Oodles of Orgasmic ObamaBots...

Nonsense.

Even if every ‘conservative’ had voted for Romney, he would have still lost.

Hard-core blind partisan conservatives and liberals constitute a minority of the overall voting public, neither are capable of electing a given candidate on their own.

In order for democrats to elect their candidate president, they must keep most democrats at home, and attract a good number of moderates and independents, which is what Obama succeeded in doing; Ohio being the best example of that.

In order for republicans to elect their candidate president, however, they must entice a significant number of democrats to vote for the republican candidate. Political scientists refer to these democrats as ‘weak’ democrats, or since 1980 ‘Reagan’ democrats – because Romney failed to win over weak democrats, he failed to win the election.

Moreover, if republicans were to nominate a presidential candidate perceived by weak democrats to be too conservative, they won’t vote for that republican, either.

So again, weak democrats, moderates, and independents decide presidential elections, not conservatives and liberals.

Our deficits would be going back up again under Romney. That's what happens when you cut taxes and then stay in Afghanistan instead of ending it this year.

By undoing Obamacare, deficits would rise because the old system was more costly and premiums were going up 15% or so a year. They've only gone up just under 4% the last 2 years.

Romney would've been awful. More wars, more deficits, precisely the opposite of where we're going now.

I saw this. Unreal that those primary voters seemingly learned NOTHING.

What were they supposed to "learn." The fact that Mitt is wanted after a loss should tell you something. People trust him to do right by Americans. Do you trust someone like Christie or whatever other GOP sleeze to do right by Americans? Cos I don't.

This is not an "Onion" story.

Mitt Romney leads the Republican field among New Hampshire primary voters for 2016. Yes, you read that right.

Why not make it a third run for president? That's something that the former Republican nominee is definitely not thinking about right now. To put it in his own recent words: "Oh, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no."

But that didn't stop the Virginia-based bipartisan policy firm Purple Strategies from adding his name to a recent survey for Granite State voters, which shows Romney in the lead with 25 percent support. Libertarian firebrand Rand Paul (who has strong infrastructure in New Hampshire) and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are behind with 18 percent and 17 percent support, respectively.

Again, who were these conservatives who stayed home?

Romney got a million votes more than McCain did and only a million less than Bush-43 did. (The high water mark for GOP candidates.

Romney got 4% more of the Self-Declared "Conservative" vote than McCain did and only 2% less than Bush did.

By comparison, Romney got only 2% more of the Moderate vote than McCain did, but 4% less than Bush did.

In short. Romney didn't lose because of Conservatives. Romney lost because he couldn't win over moderates and liberals.

Conservatives are so blind fuck crazy in their hatred of Obama that Romney could have belonged to the Cult of C'Thulhu and they'd have still voted for him.

40% of americans identify themselves as conservatives, 20% as liberals and 40% either don't know, don't care, or swing both ways.

sadly the 40% who don't know or don't care decide elections.

But if all of the 40% conservatives had voted for Romney he would have won. 52/48 is far from a landslide.
