These discussions often split us into those who are pro-corporate and those who are anti-corporate, but I think that misses the point and is unnecessarily divisive. Separation of economic power and state power should not be about whether "like" corporations or not - any more than separation of church and state says anything about whether we think religion is good or bad.

Neither is it useful to think of it in terms of economic power vs state power. The point, in my view, is to minimize the collusion and centralization of power that occurs when they become intertwined.
