It was the correct decision. It was the Berger Court who screwed up in 1973. There is no right to an abortion; there never was. The appropriate response by the Berger Court would have been to rule again Jane Roe and state that the correct course of action was through legislation by Congress. Had they done that instead of deciding upon themselves to change to Constitution to what they wanted it to say this issue likely would have been settled decades ago.

Regarding abortion, there should be one set of laws for every woman in the nation, not this ridiculous nonsense that this ruling has inflicted on the nation. 20 states have now fully banned or mostly banned abortion.

So much for giving consideration on the social implications of this reversal. Or the number of woman relying on this right - also a supposed consideration.

This is another attempt of the minority radical fringe right wingers inflicting their regligous beliefs on the people. This decision has far less validity than the original decision.

Birth control is highly fallible, even when used correctly. A child is not a "reward" or a punishment. A child is entitled to more than an existence with a family in crisis because of his/her birth, and unable to provide for that child.

Countries with generous child tax credits, universal health care, and mandated maternity leave, have 1/2 the abortion rates that the USA has. And it's the poor women who are getting abortions. Because they can't afford to lose their job because they're pregnant, which is what happens.

A man who has unprotected sex should be forced to pay for the maternity leave, the medical expenses and the costs of raising the child. Maybe men will learn to keep it in their pants that way.
