Trump’s promotion of debunked election report reveals divisions in his circle

Ken Block, who founded a software firm that Trump’s campaign commissioned to study election fraud claims in late 2020 but found them to be false, wrote on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, that the latest report Trump promoted included already disproved information.

“The released list of ‘proof’ in this document includes references to issues that have already had their day in court and lost, refers the reader to random claims made on social media, references spreadsheets that are not included with the document or have a link, and, in general, makes a lot of claims without much, if any, legally admissible proof,” Block wrote.

The report also says the Wisconsin Supreme Court deemed in 2022 that ballot drop boxes were illegal under Wisconsin law. That was two years after the 2020 election, and the ruling did not impact those election results.

Fucking brilliant.

Trump facing a criminal trial on March 25 is significant. To understand, review the bidding.

First, before Trump was President, he hid his payments (the hush money) to avoid a criminal indictment then.

Second, he then became President, and said he couldn’t be indicted for his past crimes like the hush money while in office.

Third, he then committed more serious crimes in office (the Mueller report lists 10), and he said he couldn’t be prosecuted for his crimes as a sitting President while in office.

Fourth, he then got voted out of office, and so committed even more crimes to try to stay in office (the Jan. 6 charges, some of the most significant charges in the book), and said he couldn’t be prosecuted for them while he was still President.

Fifth, b/c he couldn't be prosecuted, Congress impeached him and he said he couldn’t be impeached because the only remedy was to prosecute him after he leaves office, not to impeach him.

Sixth, he then leaves office and he’s prosecuted (as per exactly what his lawyers said could happen to him), and he now says he can’t be prosecuted because he is absolutely immune from prosecution for acts while he was President.

Seventh, for crimes he committed when he was NOT President (like the New York ones), he is now saying he can’t be prosecuted for those either, b/c he’s he’s a candidate for President again (as his lawyer argued in court today).

And oh, eighth, he filed a brief in the US Supreme Court today saying because he was not impeached, he can't be convicted.

What is this? What Constitution on earth would permit this?

More? I'm still waiting for the FIRST! I thought ciminals were prosecuted and sent to JAIL?!

So in other words, another illegal wire-tapping. Someone broke the law trying to frame Trump--- how original, like we can believe anything a criminal would tell us!

Wow. If we somehow had a recording of everytime a democrat or leftard somewhere actually pressured somebody to do something or vote some way trying to win an election, we'd probably need a server with 20 Terabytes storage!!!

I hope you have better than this, son, 'cuz, I gotta tell you this bird ain't got NO WINGS. 🦆

It's legal in Georgia to record your phone calls.

No one with a brain would talk to Trump without a recording and witnesses .

There's nothing illegal about recording a phone call in Georgia.

Georgia's wiretapping law is a "one-party consent" law for purposes of making audio recordings of conversations. Georgia makes it a crime to secretly record a phone call or in-person conversation "originat[ing] in any private place" unless one party to the conversation consents. See Ga.

Instead of starting a bunch of individual threads about all the different allegations against Donald Trump I'll just keep adding to this thread. There's so much.

Fulton County investigators have another recording of a Trump phone call pressuring a Georgia official

Fulton County investigators have an audio recording of a phone call that former President Donald Trump made to the Georgia House speaker to push for a special session to overturn Democrat Joe Biden’s 2020 victory in the state, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Fulton County special grand jury, which investigated Trump’s actions in the state after the 2020 election, heard the recording of Trump’s call to David Ralston, according to five of the jurors who spoke anonymously to the AJC. A source confirmed to CNN the existence of the recording, which hasn’t been made public.

The recording adds to what’s known about the pressure campaign by Trump and his allies on Georgia officials. It’s the third audio recording of the former president’s phone calls to Georgia officials that is known to exist.

The special grand jury recently concluded its work and recommended multiple indictments, according to the foreperson who has spoken out publicly. Now it’s up to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to make charging decisions.

Ralston, who died last year, described his December 2020 call with Trump during an interview the following day.

Trump “would like a special session of the Georgia General Assembly,” Ralston said. “He’s been clear on that before, and he was clear on that in the phone conversation yesterday. You know I shared with him my belief that based on the understanding I have of Georgia law that it was going to be very much an uphill battle.”

According to the Georgia Constitution, not only can the governor convene a special session, the General Assembly can call itself into a special session, though that requires the signatures of 3/5 of the Georgia House.

Former US Sen. David Perdue, a staunch Trump ally from Georgia, also requested a special session be convened during a meeting in December 2020 at Truist Park, where the Atlanta Braves play. Gov. Brian Kemp, Perdue and former Sen. Kelly Loeffler, the state’s other US senator at the time, and their aides attended.

Trump is going to be your next President. Deal with it! :)
