Short term yes. Long term manufacturing jobs drive up all wages. Manufacturing jobs are the highest paying blue collar work that require little skill, but lots of patience and the ability to do monotonous jobs.

Bring manufacturing jobs back and the whole economy benefits.

Minimum wage jobs only create inflation.

When tariff's go up supply and demand doesn't change. Raise the price of goods for whatever reason and fewer people will buy your goods. People will do without or buy from an American made company.

I'll gladly pay more for luxurys like big screen tv's if more Americans made living wages and could afford food and lodging. Stuff we don't import from China.
