Most Misinformed Viewers?

It is telling that all of their talking points are talking points that Hitler used

"We have founded a system based on the most sincere foundation there is, namely: Form your life yourself! Work for your existence! Help yourself and God will help you!"
-- Adolf Hitler; from speech in Wilhelmshaven (Apr. 1, 1939)

"Let no one say that the picture produced as a first impression of human civilization is the impression of its achievement as a whole. This whole edifice of civilization is in its foundations and in all its stones nothing else than the result of the creative capacity, the achievement, the intelligence, the industry, of individuals: in its greatest triumphs it represents the great crowning achievement of individual God-favored geniuses"
-- Adolf Hitler; from speech to Dusseldorf Industry Club (Jan. 27, 1932)

"Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith"
-- Adolf Hitler; at Nazi-Vatican Concordat (Apr. 26, 1933)

"democracy will in practice lead to the destruction of a people's true values and this also serves to explain how it is that peoples with a great past from the time when they surrender themselves to the unlimited, democratic rule of the masses slowly lose their former position; for the outstanding-achievements of individuals which they still possess or which could be produced in all spheres of life are now rendered practically ineffective through the oppression of mere numbers. And thus in these conditions a people will gradually lose its importance not merely in the cultural and economic spheres but altogether, in a comparatively short time it will no longer, within the setting of the other peoples of the world, maintain its former value"
-- Adolf Hitler; from speech to Dusseldorf Industry Club (Jan. 27, 1932)

"The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and co-operation. It will preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national morality, and the family as the basis of national life"
-- Adolf Hitler; from national proclamation (Feb. 1, 1933)

"Whereas previously the programs of the liberal, intellectualist women's movements contained many points, the program of our National Socialist Women's movement has in reality but one single point, and that point is the child, that tiny creation which must be born and grow strong and which alone gives meaning to the whole life-struggle"
-- Adolf Hitler; from speech to the National Socialist Women’s League (Sept. 8, 1934)

Just sayin'

Just sayin'........... what? Is there a point coming today?

Hey OP --
Why is this thread in "politics"? It belongs in "Media". Don't you think?

Thanks for having these all assembled in one place though. :eusa_clap:

just sayin that Fox news is fascist brainwashing, and has deranged a populace into believing that one party is for small government instead of its being solely about waging war.

Fox news is a world wide joke, true story bro.

You know, all they would have to do is say "We're not really news - we're here to spin an agenda and to keep a small segment of TV viewers happy by telling them what they need to hear." That's at least honest.

A small segment? Lmao

So much hate, so few brains. Most of their shows SMOKE every other news networks combined.

This thread has the aura of a mid l8fe crisis or small penis syndrome.

I am pretty sure that there is a link between Fox News and insanity. When I had cable, I figured out how to automaticly bypass the station, even when I was channal surfing. I will confess, however, that I was tempted once or twice to watch Palin, before they fired her..but I resisted. I liked Tina Fey's version better.. Anyway, the jury is out as to whether Fox causes insanity, or insane people are drawn to Fox.

Insanity, my friend, is referring to a single news source as insanity because you disagree with the message. Automatically bypassing a station because you disagree with the content is a symptom of ....you guessed it.

I think if you skip over a media outlet because it is a shitty source of truth and shovels bullshit into the mouths of rubes by the metric ton, that is wisdom.

Which is why the only time I see something from Fox News, or MSNBC, or The Daily Caller, or The Blaze, or CNS News, or WND, or investors.com is when someone here posts something from those outlets.

If you think if you skip over a media outlet because you have been brainwashed into thinking that it is a shitty source of truth and shovels bullshit into the mouths of rubes by the metric ton, that is IGNORANCE.

Pardon me for paraphrasing you, but I could not resist to succumb to your wisdom.

I mean seriously. Msnbs is so full of shit that there isn't enough toilet paper in the world to wipe all of obamas shit from their noses.

Doesn't mean their viewers are all as pathetic. Hell I even watch them from time to time.

Jealousy is a bitch

Live and let live.....or act like an idiot and post dumb threads like this in politics instead of media.

I used to watch Fox News on a daily basis. They were not that bad in the beginning. But over the years, they really deteriorated, and so I stopped watching them.

The brainwashed ones are those who prolifically copy and paste the untruths, half truths, lies, and misinformation by the truckload on this forum without EVER stopping to fact check the bullshit they are regurgitating. Over and over and over, despite having their nuts kicked in repeatedly for doing so.

Critical thinking is alien technology to these people.

Rather than just blow off the OP like so many rubes did, I just posted actual questions from an actual study. So who is brainwashed again? I bet not one of them even has the brain voltage that would have enabled them to find that study.

The thread is about the effects of mythinformation. Not whose fetish channel can beat up another one.

Btw yes, cable news, all of it put together, is a small segment of TVLand.

You really gotta laugh when a nyuck-nyuck poster presumes Fox viewers are "the most misinformed" when left wingers admit that they get their news analysis from Bill Maher and the comedy channel's Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. The post belongs on the media site anyway.

Read the study. They asked the respondents from where they get most of their news. Left wing media outlets were included.

It isn't that left wing media viewers scored the highest, it is that Fox News readers scored the lowest out of them all. Even Democratic Fox News viewers had low scores!

Actually when you really gotta laugh is when you see that shows that pull no punches about being comedy shows have better-informed viewers than what pretends to be a news channel.

This thread isn't about any of that. Its just a troll to irritate the right and anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or a bigger fool than the op.

Or they could be a scientific poll or two. Or three. Or seven.

Why do you care? You're not actually watching Fox Noise to be informed, right?
You guys are always noting (correctly) that the Fox Fiends are commentators, not journalists. So.... now you see the effect of that commentary.

I mean what did you expect?

Fuck FAUX Pseudo News. Who needs a damned study anyway? All you got to do is watch it to see what the hell is going it. Same with MSNBC, who as Stewart said is trying to ape their successful business model.

Very old talking points that has been debunked many times more liberal S.S.D.D.

I posted the study. Got a link to one of the many times it has been debunked?

I can use your link nowhere does it state Fox viewer's are most misinformed the only time Fox comes up is in the how often do you get your news and opinion from the following sources. Talking point debunked have a nice night.

Liberal media bias: what the studies and surveys tell us | Wintery Knight

Just sayin'.
Jon Stewart rhetorically asked Chris Wallace about Fox on “Fox News Sunday, because he thought he knew the answer: ”Who are the most consistently misinformed media viewers? The most consistently misinformed? Fox, Fox viewers, consistently, every poll.”

In the real world – outside Stewart’s smug bubble – this is garbage. A 2008 survey by the Pew Research Center asked media consumers three questions: which party was in control of Congress (Democrats), who was the secretary of state (Condi Rice) and who was the prime minister of Britain (Gordon Brown).

Let’s document how the viewers of “Hannity &Colmes” were better informed than Stewart’s “Daily Show” gigglers on basic political facts. Hannity viewers beat Stewart’s on the Democratic majority (84 percent to 65 percent correct answers), Condi Rice (a dramatic 73 percent to 48 percent gap) and Gordon Brown (49 percent to 36). Overall, as a percentage getting all three questions right, Hannity won 42-30.

I completely agree.

I've pondered the question for quite a while, and have come up with the conclusion that there is a strong connection between being severely mentally ill, and being a right winger.
A mentally ill man is one who writes pictures of words describing a sexually aggressive act against a woman he doesn't know on a message board that has disciplined him for misbehavior previously.

I thought this thread was about Fox News, not ThinkProgress, Media Matters, Huffington Post...
