Behold the Carnegie Free Library in Coedpoeth near Wrexham. Made possible through the philanthropy of a rich American and still in use today.

This fine building once served as Wrexham Library but is now used as an information centre. Its a lot grander than the Coedy building as befits an important regional centre like Wrexham.
Mr Carnegie strikes me as an educated and civilised gentleman who left a lasting legacy for all of us. Did he do much in the US ?
