Muslim flight attendant suspended...

Yet, refuse to issue same sex marriage licenses and you go to jail.

Maybe because one is about someone doing her job for a private company, the other is for refusing to do something that is required of her by the constitution because she works for the government.

If you referred to her as a "stewardess" you could probably be arrested by the language police. It's a risky world in the 21st century.

Alas....when I flew as a kid they were stewardess' and gave us these little silver wing pins and served free dry roasted peanuts and shirley temples.

Now...
nothing is free
peanuts are forbotten because someone might be allergic
and you can't call them stewardess' :(

I thought all they wanted was a simple wedding cake. Not something pornographic.

You're going from one extreme to another. They didn't wanted simple wedding cake. If they asked for simple cake, they would get it. They didn't wanted anything pornographic, neither. They wanted wedding cake with toppers that represents gay couple and that's what baker refused. They cried wolf and claimed that baker refused service because they're homosexuals.

A topper with two men was unreasonable? That's a simple wedding cake.

their religious belief that that they should not serve homosexuals. again the reason they choose to discriminate against homosexuals is irrelevant.
they could do it because they believe god wants them to or because they just hate gay people. doesn't matter. the law does not allow them to discriminate based on sexual orientation.

and please, provide us with an example of muslim bakeries discriminating.

Again, they did not refused to serve homosexuals. It was the kind of cake they wanted, not who they were.

If I ask you to put "FUCK YOU SHITCUNT" on the cake, do you have to do it?
you are confused on the facts. they would not sell a product available to heterosexuals to homosexuals. the reason the baker would not sell them the wedding cake was solely because the customers were homosexual.
if you asked a baker to print your profanity on a cake they would be under no obligation to do so, since they would not make that cake for anyone.
you need to educate yourself on the facts of the case before you begin to discuss them.

toppers were not involved. they were refused service before details of the cake were discussed. the sweet cakes bakers admit as much.
also, toppers aren't really in style. i can't remember the last wedding i was at that had them.

All depends who you ask. For a christian baker is unreasonable and against bakers religious beliefs.

Who knows, maybe they wanted edible toppers? :D

Yet, refuse to issue same sex marriage licenses and you go to jail.

Rephrase it as "I can't handle gay marriage licenses because of my religion" instead of "I can't serve gay people" and you have First Amendment argument.

Do you?

If your religion calls for breaking the law? (which is what she is doing)?

Put it this way. A gay person could be served with a heterosexual marriage license. If she refuses to handle gay marriage license, is she really discriminating against the person? I don't think so.

I don't think there is any such thing as a "heterosexual" (or homosexual) marriage license. It's just a marriage license.

She's not an Islamist. Geez.

As to where she "belongs" - she's a U.S. citizen. She belongs in America.
