Actually, the mayor of Nashville is the Far Left extremist Democrat, John Cooper.

There are radical leftist cities that are out of control even in "red states", if the locals install a socialist. And vice versa, BTW. There are a lot of civilized cities in blue states like Pennsylvania, too.

A good governor can help things, but isn't a cure-all.

Nashville has had democrat party mayors going back to 1860………the 6 largest cities in Tennessee have all had democrat party mayors…..

With all due respect, some people very quietly and gently in the 1950s warned that crime would get out of control if certain proposed reforms went through.

Well, those proposals became law in the 1960s, and crime has never been worse.

Of course, there is no going back.

So Americans will just have to adjust to this violent society and take their chances.

I'm not after law abiding gun owners at all, but when guns are as easy to purchase and carry around as a pack of cigarettes, people are going to use them. And if they are that easy to obtain legally, then you can buy them on the street even easier.

In fact if you look at the few dem run cities with crime rates on par with red-run ones you find a common denominator.....Those cities have not neutered their PDs.....Boston, MA is one such example.
