I do know the oath of enlistment. Had to say it 6 times over my career when I extended my enlistment or reenlisted. And, if I never served, then how in the hell do you explain the pension that I get each month, the VA benefits and card that I have, as well as my retired ID card? But, think what you want about me and my service, as you have zero impact on my pension, benefits or life.

Such a unit already exists. Combat Applications Group. They're used by the President—any sitting President—on an almost monthly (and sometimes much more frequent) basis, on domestic US soil.
