Do you think it would be good investment? Sisi regime are looking for new investors for this huge project. A new capital city in the sand. The regime abandon Cairo and it seems so are the rich Egyptians.

I have been to Cairo. It has good and bad areas. It is crowded fast moving. Many smells from food cooking to shit from the sewers and homeless people. Wealth here poverty there. It is the Arab world all in one city. This new city looks like it will be more relaxed.

Seems like the smart thing to do. Cairo seems turbo congested. Brazil did this by creating Brasilia as the capital, from scratch, in the 1960's.

The Saudis are building a new city of the future called Neom in North West Arabia.

Neom is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. It is planned to incorporate smart city technologies and also function as a tourist destination. The site is near the Red Sea, the Strait of Tiran, and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan (however, Saudi Arabia has no land border with either Egypt or Israel).
