Yet here you are being owned like a good boy....You're a waste of time.
Of good presidents, you are joking right?![]()
Top five WORST presidents maybe, that would be a legitimate argument.every serious historian knows they were corrupt bastards and traiters to America.criminal to the core as most presidents are.
Care to refute the point vs attack the source? The initial finding is out of UCLA dum dum
I see there no actual substance to anything you post. Thanks. Good bye.Easy to find two pumpkin heads in any pumpkin patch.
Try to be just a little reasonable. It was the Traitors in the South who killed 600,000 unnecessarily
By the way, Lincoln was not alive in 1962
Fort Sumter was arguably part of Southern territory. No one was killed by the Southern bombardment. The war should have been avoided. Chattel slavery was on its way out, war or no war. Many countries in the Americas freed their slaves without a civil war.
By the way, it’s Sumter not Sumpter.Ft Sumpter was Federal Property. If the Confederacy wanted it, the way to do that is to negotiate a transfer and pay the United States for their property. When you are firing cannon at someone….you don’t get to brag nobody was killed.
Chattel Slavery may have been on its way out until a Confederacy was formed ensuring slavery would exist forever. Most of the world managed to give up slavery without a war.
The South would rather fight than give up its slaves
Reasonable people would agree that a portion of Federal property would belong to the South. If Lincoln was not seeking a casas belli, he would have let the South hold the fort.
Powerful economic/technological forces made chattel slavery obsolete. In the latter decades of the 1800s you have a more educated workforce concentrated in cities. Transportation and communication became easier and faster. Imagine trying to hold slaves in those circumstances. Chattel slavery would have become unprofitable.
Chattel slavery depends on isolation and ignorance. When those two disappear chattel slavery becomes unprofitable. The South seemed to understand they would eventually lose their slaves if they remained in the United States
That is why they created a Confederacy whose Constitution ensured slavery forever
No ShitChattel slavery depends on isolation and ignorance. When those two disappear chattel slavery becomes unprofitable.
Moreover modern economies value innovation and need to reward those who are successful and energetic and intelligent. Slavery limits such incentives.
So you are admitting that the Civil War and the massive associated carnage failed to prevent second class status for blacks? No Shit
The South realized that new states were not going to allow slavery and that their power in Congress would be diluted.
With Lincoln, they saw someone who would speed the process .
They listened to the hot heads and elected to form a Confederacy that ensured slavery would exist forever.
If you question whether the south would eventually end slavery on its own, you only have to look at the hundred years where they legally kept blacks as second class citizens with limited rights
I see there no actual substance to anything you post. Thanks. Good bye.
Wow is that fucked up. Could you explain your opinion?LBJ and FDR should be in the top 5.
LBJ was a flaming racist.
FDR prolonged the depression for years.
Wow is that fucked up. Could you explain your opinion?
