Newly Unsealed Court Docs Reveal Stacks of Mar-a-Lago Boxes Did NOT Contain State Secrets

7 Jul 2023 ~~ By Patrick Webb

Newly unsealed court documents in Trump indictment reveal that DOJ-laced pictures of Mar-a-Lago boxes did not contain state secrets: FBI agent who signed the warrant stated the boxes also contained “challenge coins, garment bags, memorabilia, photograph frames and other décor”
Furthermore redacted from the Mar-a-Lago search warrant affidavit AG Garland agreed to publicly release was the fact that a US Secret Service officer escorted Trump’s lawyers into the storage room during the search for classified docs to comply with grand jury subpoena in June 2022.

Commentary:
Surprise!! Looks like the case against Trump is falling apart.
The total haul of classified documents fills less than one half of one box.
From memory - the total pages of classified documents is 200-400 pages.
Half of that is probably just title covers!
The people who still believe Trump collided with Russia will still believe that there were top secret documents in the ballroom and bathroom, while claiming stolen documents from a Senate SCiIF by Biden and unsecured classified documents sequestered in D.C. Chinatown, UPenn, Biden's garage and beach house are not of any importance.

Surprise!
Fake news.
Where's the link to these fictional court documents?

Then you’re going to vote for Biden? That’s what’s important. If not, then I don’t really care about your whining. I’m just using MAGA tactics. Isn’t fun, is it?

Every time one of these damned threads gets started I have a headache. I’m trying to reconcile the various stories that have been told. It’s impossible.

The first story was that there were no files and the Feds planted the files to make Trump look bad.

The second story was that there were files, but they were stored securely in a room with a hasp and a padlock.

This story is reinforced by Court Motions in which the Defense actually argued that they should be able to view the Classified Documents at Mar A Lago since it was a secure document storage facility.

Now. This is the beginning of the contradictions. How could Mar A Lago be a secure storage facility when the original response was there was no documents at Mar A Lago and the classified documents were planted?

Ok. We are now on to insane claim number three. The documents were declassified. Ok. Why were the documents securely stored in a room with a padlock if they were declassified? Why would Mar A Lago be considered a secure storage facility if the documents were declassified? And why would the Feds plant declassified documents at Mar A Lago?

It’s not surprising that a politician lies. What is surprising is that anyone would tell such contradictory lies one right after another like a child describing what he saw on mulberry street.

How many of you remember the SNL skit of Jon Lovetts doing Tommy P Flanagan?

Tommy Flanagan was not someone to emulate.

This is the reason I just shrug when Mac1958 or someone like him who positions themselves "firmly" in the middle says, "we've got to come together". For all of the shortcomings on the left, one problem we don't have is this comfort with just throwing as much as you can, as often as you can against the wall to see what sticks. And these wild allegations are often made by the same people who contradict their previous statements.

I'm all for coming together but it is completely necessary that we work from the same basis of facts. The political right isn't there yet. They're not even close. And there is no movement afoot to return them to a fact-based existence.

Why did Trump mix 📄 documents that belong to the national archives with personal belongings?

#1 Because he denied he lost the election and felt he'd be staying in the White House so he prevented a smooth transition. By the time his advisors told him he'd have to leave or be dragged out by the Capital Police on January 20, the whole "smooth transition of power" window had passed. So his subordinates were reduced to throwing crap in boxes to the movers could get stuff out so the new administration could move in.

#2 Trump isn't in trouble for taking the documents, Trump is in trouble for refusing to return the documents. (Which never should have been taken true, but see #1.)
