2024 will mark the 1st time in over 4 decades I won't vote for a President. I have never seen such a sorry duo for the top job in my 68 years. One, and doddering old man so senile he can't string together a legible sentence without making a mess of it. The other, a convicted felon and sex abuser with more legal baggage than Al Capone. I may vote for some down ballot candidates but not for President.

Frankly I would rather see a Magnus Carlsen running our country - - not going to happen since he's Norwegian, and way too smart to get into politics!

Understandable. Our REAL Best & Brightest know not to get into politics.

Just write-in for a candidate, hell you could put down "ShockCanadian from USMB". I would be honoured though I am inelligible to serve lol.

this is the third election I'm sitting out.

IMO, Trump, Hillary, Biden should only enter the Oval Office as visitors.

Welcome to the USMB bill718.. 🙂

I’m guessing you are a disgruntled Democrat voter who watched the Trump/Biden debate and your great hope .. Biden .. came up way way way short..

You may consider the source of your misinformation (fake leftwing news), lawfare and a corrupted NY judicial system along with obvious indications of piss poor leftwing judgement.

You understand, I'm sure, that the two bozos to whom you refer are not the only candidates for President, right?

I maintain that if everyone who felt the way you do were to vote for the Libertarian, or some other party candidate, a message would be sent to the asshats trying to force these two turds down our throats. And who knows, someday there may be enough disgruntled voters that one of those candidates may actually win... setting the entire system on its ears.

Magnus is a 34 year old Chess master . In fact the several times World Champion .
What on earth has that got to do with the price of parsnips?

But, regardless ,and using your weak knee philosophy :-
if your lack of mobility restricted you to a wheelchair you would refuse to get one leg working again even if a specialist told you that it was a distinct possibility , albeit painful and requiring a lot of work .

Our species needs determined , positive people . Not lazy defeatists .

I'm impressed. :)

Vote either for Pat Paulson or a giant meteor to strike the Earth.

The problem is the FPTP system means there are only two VIABLE candidates. It's how it works, it distorts the electoral system. We can see this in the German elections when they have PR and FPTP on the same day with different results (one party got 77% of the seats with the US FPTP and 36% of the seats with PR).

Good for you. Voting for potus is a big waste of time. It’s always two fools who agree on most things.

Agreed. But how about we hold an election and no one votes? That just might have wonderful consequences, like crashing the entire criminal/corrupt political system.

Do Americans need more proof that the idea of “Consent of the Governed” has always been total bullshit?

Hopefully those of you disenchanted with the choices for POTUS still vote for your state and local candidates and issues. Things that impact your day to day life more than who is POTUS.

Legal weed is on the ballot in Florida….for example.

There is no denying Biden's senility.

But

1. convicted felon only due to Democrat's abuse of power in going after a man they hate and the liberal judges who go along with that.

2. as far as sex abuser, I'm assuming you are talking about the E Jean Carroll case, where democrats purposely changed the statute of limitations law so that she could sue Trump in a civil court where, again, the judge was a liberal who allowed any and all evidence (which there was none) against Trump while refusing Trump's side to present the evidence they wanted to present, all in a civil court where the jury only has to decide that if there is a 51% chance Trump is guilty and 49% not, the defendant is found guilty.

3. The "legal baggage" you refer to is ALL democratic prosecutors going after Trump, with many of them running campaigns to get elected promising they will "get Trump".

There ain't an ounce of difference, between you not voting bill718 , and me voting blue in a red state, or visa-versa for many of my fellow Americans.
