Watched the "debate" last night. Which essentially consisted, as most do, of Bill de Blasio attacking his opponent about answers Joe Lhota gave that were clear and concise.

I think it's pretty clear that Lhota is leaps and bounds more experienced to be mayor of NYC. He also took de Blasio's attacks with grace and didn't resort to continuing them.

De Blasio is a shizter. He comes off arrogant and stupid with his "tax the rich" nonsense. And what to him is the "rich"? 150k a year. :lmao:

in NYC? :lmao:

Mr. de Blasio was asked point-blank whether he had enough experience to be mayor, especially compared with Mr. Lhota, a former budget director and deputy mayor. Mr. de Blasio stressed that he had held positions as Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign manager during her Senate campaign in 2000, as a regional housing official in the Clinton administration, and as a city councilman and current public advocate. But he suggested that one’s résumé was not everything that voters should consider; he challenged them to think about their values, and on that score, he said that Mr. Lhota had worked for a polarizing mayor, Rudolph W. Giuliani.

Then again, Mr. de Blasio’s managerial background is not as extensive as Mr. Lhota’s. Mr. de Blasio, for instance, said that he worked in the mayor’s office under David N. Dinkins, but he was actually a junior aide. And even his role as Mrs. Clinton’s campaign manager in 2000 deserves an asterisk, because he was nudged aside by the end of the campaign for being indecisive, and because more experienced aides from Washington had taken charge.

NYC is about to hire another failed community organizer as its mayor.

Of course, reading through the news this morning, LOLberal news outlets are saying de Blasio was a clear winner.

Totally shocking!

He's going to chase more of our wealthier people to Jersey, Westchester, the Island and Conneticiut. He's going to put a leash on the police, and attempt to pay off all the city unions using money he doesnt have.

After 4 years of him we will have another Republican-lite/Independent mayor.

The problem is we have a 1 party system in the City Council, and getting rid of that is next to impossible because of all the goodies democrats give out.

Of course. His rhetoric reminds me of the failed community organizer to the T.

He considers 150K a year in NYC as "rich".

I have no choice but to vote Lhota. And after watching him last night, I dont think thats such a bad thing. Lhota is experienced, well spoken, informed and has the right ideas.

de Blasio is a slimy shit staina nd it's written all over his face.

There are too many people in the city dependent on democratic policies, be it via being a government worker, or being dependent on city services. They will vote lockstep with the limousine liberals who love to live in NYC but probably keep thier real address somewhere else (with no local income tax) then rail against the rest of us for being "cheap"

Times change...

Obama, the Clintons and other mainstream Democrats endorse hard left De Blasio

Now Republicans will have to run away from staunch conservatives, if they want to avoid nasty labels in the media

New York seems to be firmly on track to join Chicago and Detroit in the company of failed cities.
