Obama solicitor general: If you don't like mandate, EARN LESS MONEY

"Free" health care.
If you never use health care you still have to pay the money.
FAIL.

Everyone eventually needs health care. Everyone.

Can you prove that? My guess is I can find examples of people who never go to a doctor without looking too hard at all, so that proves that your absolute is not true. That eliminates your justification for forcing everyone to buy health insurance.

Yes...but is it right for Government to MANDATE it? RUn Healthcare (which is their ultimate goal whether WE like it or not? Is it under their Constitutional purview to take over that large a portion of the economy?

Answer is NO. It is NOT. And IF you think it is? Cite chapter and verse of the Constitution where it is?

He knows it's Unconstittuional. He just doesn't care.

He wants other people to pay for his healthcare, and that's all that matters to him.

That's your typical free-loader liberal.

I have insurance, do you?

*I* Do...and it's cahnged several times as Obama has foisted this shithole of a law against us...

Should *I* or my comapny apply for a WAIVER as so many Union Entities and now States, The AARP are applying for?

*I* won't because I am an individual, and my company is of the WRONG political stripe.

It's not the same. A state has the right to mandate you carry insurance as part of the PRIVILEGE OF DRIVING in their state.

The 10th amendmemnt gives them that right.

The Federal government, on the other hand, does NOT have the right to mandate you have car insurance.

The same goes for health insurance.

The federal government does not have a right to mandate you buy ANYTHING.

Privilege of driving? WTF is that? I paid for the vehicle, right? I should have the right to drive it!

You see? it just depends on how ridiculous you want to get on these subjects. As far as I'm concerned, if there were a National Health Care Policy... no one would have to BUY anything... we'd all have to pay... but none of us would have to buy.

Health Care, IMO... is akin to Police, Fire, Education and Military. It's a basic necessity that preserves our quality of life.

Okay first of all, you are completely ignorant.

You do NOT have a right to drive just because you pay for a vehicle.

Do you have a driver's licence? Do you have insurance? Do you have tags?

Your state REQUIRES certain things for you to have the right to drive on their roads.

IT'S NOT A RIGHT. You get permission from your state to drive via driver's license, license plate, etc.

You ever get pulled over? What's the first thing they do?

"Licence and Registration please!"

You can't tell them you paid for the vehicle you have the right to drive!

Your state can take you off the road for a lot of reasons, let alone for not having insurance.

Bottom line, it's not a right. It's privilege you enjoy from your sundry state, for which THEY CAN TAKE AWAY if you don't meet the minimum requirements.

As for healthcare being a "basic necessity."

So is food, clothing, shelter, etc etc etc.

That DOESN'T GIVE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT THE RIGHT TO MANDATE WE BUY ANYTHING!

Besides which you DEFEATED YOUR OWN ARGUMENT BY BRINGING UP FIRE AND POLICE.

BOTH ARE NOT MANDATED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND ARE PROVIDED BY YOUR SUNDRY STATE WHICH THEY CAN DO BY THE 10TH AMENDMENT.

The military is mandated by the Constitution.

As for education? Don't get me started. That is also unconstitutional, and it's high time we took that power away from them.

Because unlike you, I took the time to read the actual bill to understand for myself what it does. I didnt take anyones word for it, not Obama, not the republicans, because they all like to spin it their own way. I have a nasty habit of doing my own research, you should try it sometime.

If thats losing, I dont want to win.

BWAHAHAHA!

If I had a dime for every person I debate, when losing who suddenly claims he's an "expert" so they aren't losing, I could pay for all the healthcare in this country.

What does your "expertise" have to do with it?

It's STILL UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

I have yet to hear you claim experitise on that!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I didnt claim to be an expert. Just someone who read the bill and formed my own opinion. You don't have to be jealous, you can do the same thing. Its never too late.

You claim to have a basic understanding of the law, yet you insist that parts of the law that I talk about do not exist, and that actual real world consequences of the law are not happening. Could that be because you do not even understand the difference between a law and a bill?

Yes...but is it right for Government to MANDATE it? RUn Healthcare (which is their ultimate goal whether WE like it or not? Is it under their Constitutional purview to take over that large a portion of the economy?

He keeps doing this. Trying to make the debate PERSONALLY about me, because he knows he's losing.

That's what liberals do when they are losing. They start "interrogating" you, trying to get personal information out of you, in a lame attempt to put you on the defensive.

It's extremely lame and extremely desperate.

Congress has no power to order us to buy or pay for someone else showing up at the hospital with no insurance!

And if Politicians lie then WHY are you glomming onto Obamacare as if it's a great idea, when you just admitted it's a big lie?

Thank you for admitting it's a lie.

It's also unconstitutional.

So YOU LOSE!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

First off, he didnt read a 2000 page bill.
Second, if he did, he didnt understand 15% of it.
Third, none of that has any bearing on the authority the FedGov has to implement this, a point he fails to address again and again.

I'm 49 years old and have never been in the hospital, much less the emergency room.
Remind me why I need to pay a tax on something I've never done and may never do.
You've skirted the question of what this is a tax on. You cannot tax non-activity.

So if Rabbi has never been to the hospital, that means no one has. This is where you want to go? Really? LOL.

I didnt skirt a thing. I told you what it was for, you just didn't like the answer.

You are skirting a lot!

Why should a healthy individual be forced to pay for someone else's healthcare?

This debate is sixty if not 100 years old, not new. Just let hospitals throw the broke and dying out on the purely capitalistic streets and you will have a constitutional healthcare system.

Whatever legal precident must have been set back then and was reaffirmed when John Ashcroft decided the good folks of Oregon had no right to determine their health care options.

Oops if Ashcroft was against Obamacare. He should not have used big government to impose his religous views on Oregon.

I agree, therefore red states should not get any federal aid anymore.I am tired of supporting bad choices. I mean who lives in kansas?

Bunch of freeloaders they are.

I would LOVE not to get anymore federal aid, IF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WOULD RECIPROCATE BY NOT TAKING MY MONEY IN SUCH TAXES!

Freeloaders!

You are the greedy liberal free-loaders who want everyone else's money!

It's "greedy" for us to object to what the federal government says we have to do with our money???

The GREED is coming from you. You want power over other people's money soooooooo bad, that if you can't get your mitts on it personally, you'll take your liberal ilk having power over it, as a close second.

Your arguments fool no one.

The bottom line is Congress has no power to order us to buy anything.

This is not about healthcare. It's about wealth distribution and liberals getting non-stop power over the earnings of others.

You libs are the biggest free-loaders of all.

you are a fucking retard.seriously a fucking retard.its like evolution skipped a...wait you dont believe in that either.

This is what liberals do when they are challenged on their BS. They just sputter insults like an hysterical 13 year old.

This will reveal how little fact is behind what liberals are pushing regarding Obamacare.

They KNOW it's not constituitional.

They KNOW it's the reason, Republicans won big in 2010.

They KNOW it's not over and the 2012 election is coming.

So what is their response?

To scream hysterically at anyone who challenges Obama's little healthcare dictatorship.

It's hilarious!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

As to your 'road' argument? You are correct. They are built with public funds as outlined in Article 1, Section 8:

To establish Post Offices and Post Roads

Post road
post road n a road over which mail is carried
So the government has every right to demand preresquites for USE of the roads that public funds financed...

Privilege of driving? WTF is that? I paid for the vehicle, right? I should have the right to drive it!

You do have the right to drive it. If you want to drive it on public property you have to accept the rules laid down by said public. If you don't like them you can choose to either ignore the rules and pay the price if caught, or drive your vehicle only on private property.

You see? it just depends on how ridiculous you want to get on these subjects. As far as I'm concerned, if there were a National Health Care Policy... no one would have to BUY anything... we'd all have to pay... but none of us would have to buy.

Actually it just shows how ridiculous you have to get to defend your position.

Let me ask you, since you support a national health care policy, would you also support a national car insurance policy? National insurance polices for theft? Any other form of national insurance at all? If so, can you explain how you expect to pay for them? Why should taxpayers be forced to buy anyone a new car every time they wreck the old one?

Health Care, IMO... is akin to Police, Fire, Education and Military. It's a basic necessity that preserves our quality of life.

Yoy have that opinion because you do not understand the difference between a public and a non public good. Do a little research and come back with some type of cogent argument about why health care is a public good and we can start to have an honest discussion. Until then, all we have is your platitudes.

Why not take the power away from the State too? Fuck them... We're all about individualism and all of that right?

You idiots are all the same. You can't see the forest from the trees. You want your employer to have that HOLD over you that Health Insurance gives them. You wonder why Small business isn't thriving? It isn't taxes bub... It's things like the cost of Health Insurance and Huge Corporations that will eat them alive if they even begin to compete with them.

The idea of a National Health insurance Policy isn't to MAKE you pay for some deadbeat... it's to help level the playing field between the Conglomerate and the Mom and Pop Business. Imagine if Mom And Pop didn't have that burden. Imagine if it didn't matter if you worked for ACME Inc. or Bob's shoe repair.

Employer based health insurance is a huge source of power for the big boys. You're just too damned dumb to think that far outside of your little "I hate Socialism" box.

That's what the neonuts say about mandated car insurance. " you don't have to drive".

Why people make the comparison to car insurance I'll Never get. I guess they simply do not understand that we are a federal Republic, with a deliberate, and important separation of powers between the states and the Fed.

The Fed does not mandate Car insurance. States do. The Fed does not do it, because IT CONSTITUTIONALLY CAN'T DO IT. The Health Insurance mandate is no different. While States can and have, have a mandate. It is Entirely Unconstitutional for the Federal Government to have one. Period.

I guess people that constantly over look that key difference, don't think Having powers separated between the states and the Fed is important. I guess they can not see how it will always be more efficient, Effective and Accountable to have the bulk of Government programs be Paid far and Administered at the State Level, not by some bottomless pit Bloated Federal Bureaucracy.

Are you talking about Oregan healthcare?

I know about the Oregan Healthcare plan. I met with the people responsible for the Oregan Healthcare plan.

I typed out the speech and prepared the reports for it when representatives visted OSU.

Oh my gosh you are stupid.

Number one Oregan healthcare came about long before Ashcroft was on the USSC.

Number two, A STATE INSTITUTING HEALTHCARE IS VASTLY DIFFERENT FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOING THE SAME.

A State has the right to set up it's own healthcare PER THE 10TH AMENDMENT YOU IDIOT!

Helloooooooooooooooooooooooo, you ever read the 10th Amendment?

oh my gosh you are stupid. :lmao:

That's not the same as the Federal GOVERNMENT mandating we buy something.

NOT EVEN CLOSE.

If you are going to pretend you know what you are talking about, try refreshing yourself on the Constitution, okay?

It might make you look less foolish.

All you managed to do was let us know about your bigotry toward Aschcroft's faith. Thanks for letting us know.
