Obama to send U.S. Troops to Moscow to March in Parade Celebrating Stalins Red Army.

In Russia, when people talk about the support of Stalin, understand and know the crimes of Stalin, but people remember that Stalin did good for the country. In America and the world of Stalin's achievements are considered negative and it's natural. What's good for Russia - is bad for the United States.

Thanks for helping us understand Russia. I am not trying to fight with you and you obviously understand more about the mindset of the Russian people than I do.

But what do the Russian people consider "good" about Stalin compared to what they think was "bad"

From wiki answers; " his policies of rapid industrialization did make Russia the second largest economy in 1955"

Hugidwyn

"These references show that Americans do not know history, if we compare the small-scale military conflict with the military engagements, which involved millions of soldiers and tens of thousands of tanks and planes from both sides"

Lets all be thankful that we have an expert here to set us straight on the accomplishments of the Red Army and its leaders, it does weigh heavy on my mind.

Yes Uncle Joe was able to keep tens of million of unarmed people in poverty, slavery and subservience in Eastern Europe for 50 years.

Thank goodness for Uncle Joe.

oh my, obama is pissing of his german allies.

you mean he wouldn't draw the same crowd today that he did a year ago in Berlin?

actually it was just a dry comment about shifting alliances and pearl-clutching talking points.

nevertheless, i think obama would of course not draw as big a crowd as in 2008 as a candidate. the novelty has worn off by now. but he could visit berlin and other big german cities and be welcomed warmly without huge crowds demonstrating against him. and that is a huge difference to the fucktard who was in the white house before obama.

thats odd, considering he's still fighting the same wars Bush did.

yeah, but we did not forget who is responsible for the IRAQ war, afghanistan is different. that is why there are german troops in afghanistan.

obama's whole approach to his allies is different, too.

blast from the past

..No other American president has required comparable measures. In 1963, when John F. Kennedy spoke in front of the Schöneberg City Hall in West Berlin, he was cheered by an enthusiastic audience and then openly mixed with the crowd. During his last official visit to Berlin, decades later, then-President Bill Clinton made a surprise stop at a Berlin restaurant in the company of Chancellor Schröder and a few bodyguards.
The hysteria accompanying the current presidential visit has far more to do with the way Bush and his security advisors view the German population than with any rational estimation of danger. They know that Bush and his policies are deeply hated, and respond by treating the German population as if it were a fertile breeding ground for Al Qaida. Their attitude borders on paranoia.
If illusions remain that Bush’s foreign policy has to do with the fight against “tyranny” and the spread of “democracy” and “freedom,” the circumstances surrounding his visit to Germany should provide the antidote. Such security measures have always been associated with autocrats who are profoundly aware of the depth of the popular hatred they arouse. ..

Is this true? If it is,we should start Impeachment proceedings on this President immediately. Not one single soldier should be ordered to march in a parade commemorating Communism in the Soviet Union. I'll have to look into this further. If it is true,it would be incredibly disturbing to most Americans.

Yeah we notice how he treats his allies. Unfortunately, Russian and the Palestinians aren't going to do us a fucking bit of good.

People in China also speak lovingly of Mao and the NoKo pulled their teeth out when Kim Il Sung died.

OK, Maple, let's get this right: you don't want Russians revising their history but the conloons are right to do so here?
