Obama to send U.S. Troops to Moscow to March in Parade Celebrating Stalins Red Army.

In the long run the USA would have won compeletly, with massive Soviet dead and the Soviet union laid waste.

This was the WWII era, not the post war UN era.

No, it would not have been fought to the bitter end. It already had been against the fascists and was being finished against the Japanese militarists. Patton was wrong, Truman and Eisenhower were right, and the world moved along.

The Soviets would have been fighting for Mother Russia while the US would have been fighting over ideology. The Russians had already lost 30 million people and already showed a willingness to fight to the death. If the US lost another 100,000 soldiers we would have packed up and gone home as the war had no benefit for the US

Patton was a fool

And then we NEVER would have been able to get along with them.

think he really died in a car accident?

Why do people still actually believe that America won WWII by itself? Is it ignorance or lying to yourself?

Just watch them go on and on about how we saved Britain, France, New Zealand, Australia, etc.....arrogant people who weren't even around and didn't even fight that war.

Who is saying all of this ??
Nobody.....It's just another prime example of how Butch talks out of his ass.

After all, Butch actually thinks Russia is an ally.

Butch isn't very bright.:cuckoo:

They potentially are an ally of convenience...unless you'd rather see Russia cooperating with China instead?

And you don't realize that Bodecea was a Celtic queen, dumbass.

He didn't die in the car accident...he broke his neck and died later...perhaps something he would have lived thru today.

Let those who demonize Russia yap on Stalin, that is their share. But, despite all the anti-Stalinist propaganda, Russia still maturing realization that, yes, been in Stalin and the errors were the crimes were reprisals, but on the other hand, there were great things, great things and it was a great politician and great man. And in general, people in Russia understand that a person committed a deed and this deed shall be marked accordingly.

Then it was completely inadequate to the terrible danger in which the country finds itself. The soldiers and officers at the front there was no claim to Stalin

Americans have poured out their anger in Russia, do not win is not a war, Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan - always fail.

After WWII the Americans have a pathological fear of large casualties. They can not in principle, to large-scale war involving large numbers of people. Can only use its advantage in technology. Can beat the weak and bedridden!

They have never fought a war on its territory - do not know what a rage against the invaders.

Iran and China are among the few countries that during the weakness of Russia in the 1990's did not attempt to wrest from Russia or one of the "zone of influence" and not support separatism in the North Caucasus, although many Muslim countries and the United States supported, and support so far , separatists and the Georgian regime's aggression unleashed against South Ossetia.

Russia FM Sergei Lavrov said that Russia was not abandoning its obligations under the contract with Iran to supply his anti-aircraft missile systems S-300 and they will be delivered.

The Soviet Union did not win the war because of Stalin. I more think Russia won the war despite Stalin, he liquidated most 50% of his military high command just before the war. After that he ordered his soldiers in poland NOT to attack the germans when they invaded it (he thought he could still strike a bargain with the germans) and ignored the warnings about a massive invasion "Barbarossa" (he thought it were faked rumors of foreign political enemies who wanted to damage the Russian-German relationship). And the massive ammount of casualties and damages resulting his dictatorship over the Soviet Union were so big that Russia still has not recovered from it today.

German casualties: 6,633,000 to 8,393,000
Soviet Union Casualties: 23,954,000

And keep in mind who lost the war (the whole of Germany was destroyed by Soviets and Allied troops/bombers): it tells you a whole different story about how "great" Stalin was.

They have never fought a war on its territory - do not know what a rage against the invaders.

Never say NEVER!!! :D

Myth of the alleged liquidated 50% of the high military command

Report of the Central Personnel of People's Commissariat of Defense from May 5, 1940

"During the years 1937-1939. 36898 from the ranks of Red Army commanders have been dismissed. Of these, in 1937, fired 18 658 people. [13, 1% of the number of command personnel], in 1938 fired 16 362 people. [9, 2%], in 1939, laid off 1,878 people. [0, 7%].
Arrested in 1937-1939. Amounts to 8122 people. [3% of the total number of command staff in 1939]. Of those sentenced to death about 70, shot 17. "

According to your links
Island of Guam - a small military operation in comparison with the military operation is negligible WWII
Revolutionary War - "About 8,000 of these deaths were in battle"
Mexican-American War - the seizure of foreign territory.

These references show that Americans do not know history, if we compare the small-scale military conflict with the military engagements, which involved millions of soldiers and tens of thousands of tanks and planes from both sides.

I find it bizarre that any Russian could defend Stalin. He killed more Russians than Hitler did. His ill-conceived alliance with Hitler left his country open for invasion. Killing your best generals right before the largest war in Russian history is never a smart move.

No doubt that the Soviet Union was primarily responsible for defeating Hitler. But they paid a much higher price than they would have if they had effective leadership

Nice source of information. Soviet Union reporting on itself just before they were invaded. Doesn't get any more trustworthy than that. Yes ....fired is a nice way to describe a firing squad.

Simple question ...People who are "fired" can be brought back once your country is invaded. People who face a firing squad cannot. Why did none of these "dismissed" generals come back when they were so desperately needed?

Opinion polls in Russia
Stalin's actions during the Great Patriotic War, positively evaluate 40% of respondents.
And what is interesting in 2003 was 36%.
The trend however.
