I don't think you're fully exploring what's at stake here. I hate Obama too, but for once in his entire life, he's acting like a true statesman.

And I'm also not impressed with the numbers in Congress supporting this. It's a feel-good bill and feel-good bills usually garner wide support and who wants to be seen voting against the 9/11 families? But Congress is trading short term political points against the long term welfare of this nation. This bill is a horrible idea and if Congress wants to get it passed, they'll have to override a presidential veto if they can. That's why the Constitution requires this, so that it's very difficult for a simple majority of idiots to drive the country over a cliff.

He works for the entire country and for the first time ever, he actually did right by America.
