During Tuesdays Fox & Friends, conservative radio host Laura Ingraham revealed a variety of provision within the comprehensive immigration reform bill which passed the U.S. Senate on Monday. She said that that bill includes a number of provisions designed to attract the votes of reluctant Senators, including carve outs for Hollywood, Nevadas casinos, and a provision which provides for vehicles for eligible young people.
Ingraham said that this provision was inserted in the bill to secure the vote of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) who otherwise would not have supported immigration reform.
This immigration bill does not do what it says it does, Ingraham said. This is going to lower wages and increase unemployment at least for the next 12 years and then were going to find all these lovelies in it.

The provision by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) would provide $1.5 billion over two years for states and local communities to help find jobs for more than 400,000 16- to 24-year-olds who were hard hit by the Wall Street-caused recession. With the youth unemployment rate unacceptably high, the youth jobs amendment will put hundreds of thousands of young Americans to work, Sanders said.
Sanders had argued that helping unemployed American young people was the least Congress should do in a bill that allows college students from around the world to take jobs that young Americans would otherwise perform. Sanders focused on the J-1 Summer Work Travel Program and the H-2B guest worker programs.

(A) to provide summer employment oppor
tunities for low-income youth, with direct link
ages to academic and occupational learning,
and may be used to provide supportive services,
such as transportation or child care, that is
necessary to enable the participation of such
youth in the opportunities; and
(B) to provide year-round employment op
portunities, which may be combined with other
activities authorized under section 129 of the
Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (29 U.S.C.
2854), to low-income youth.

I briefly caught it on the news this morning as well. I am currently searching out the link, but indeed, a provision in the "new and improved amnesty bill" seems to offer cars, bikes and scooters to young people so they can "get to work".

I just spent 20 minutes reading the fucking bill to find out it's all a big fat fuckin lie. There is no provision that sets aside money to give out free cars and bikes. I'd actually prefer that than have a shit ton of money dumped into a red tape process that is counterproductive and useless such as the vague notions brought forth by Sanders.
Urban public transport may be provided by one or more private transport operators or by a transit authority. Public transport services are usually funded by government subsidies and fares charged to each passenger. Services are normally regulated and possibly subsidized from local or national tax revenue. Fully subsidized, zero-fare (free) services operate in some towns and cities.

The free phone bullshit was not brought into legislation by Obama. Here, the provisions assigned into this bill by Sanders, do not designate funding for free cars and bikes.
