It's difficult to understand what some of these guys find so difficult.

Evidence: Gun buybacks are ineffective as generally implemented. 1. The buybacks are too small to have an impact. 2. The guns turned in are at low risk of ever being used in a crime. 3. Replacement guns are easily acquired. Unless these three points are overcome, a gun buyback cannot be effective.

Where do they think these recommendations along for the calls for a national registration would lead? It appears that they enjoy their denial.

If anyone is interested (it's factual analysis so I'm guessing not), Steven Dubner and Levitt who penned the Freakonomics books and weekly radio broadcasts did an analysis of gun control measures.
