Obama's Legacy: richest got richer and poorest got poorer faster than under Bush/Republicans

They are working on increased military spending and tax breaks for the richest. Neither of those will ever equal a balanced budget. These are mostly all the same repubs that were there five, eight or even ten years ago.

Of course they want to increase military spending. DumBama reduced military spending and strength that we need right now. He vetoed the last military spending bill and this is his record.

Republicans are trying to fight this anti-military President and I can't blame them.

What do we need more spending for? We spend more than the next 10 countries combined. You just blindly throw money around.

Well.......we are more powerful than the next ten countries combined. Isn't that a good thing?
It's a question of ....is there a military threat worthy of all that expenditure?

Used to be USSR.......now?
not much
Every military threat is worthy of that expenditure. Being a world power means having the means to project that power globally. So it doesnt matter if Russia or China has that capability or not.

Sucker

Throwing unlimited money when there is not an appropriate threat is throwing money down the drain

These republicans just throw money at everything. No thought into it at all. Spend, spend, spend...

Idiot.
Since the lag time to produce weapons etc is so long it is much longer than any threat.
If you want peace, prepare for war.

This Congress had nothing to do with who spent money five, eight or even ten years ago. All they can do is control what they spend today.

Nope, China is still arming up. Iran? Do you really think they want nuclear power for electricity? How many times has that little imp in North Korea launched threats at us?

Our newest enemy is not really a country, but a movement worldwide. They were able to succeed in the most terrible attack on the US in our history, and they're not done either.

And what would our position be if we ended up in WW III? Not too difficult to imagine. Since our fearful leader just about abandoned Israel, what do you suppose would happen if they decided do or die with Iran or the Palestinians?

As the old saying goes, it's better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it.

Our prospective enemy needs to develop weapons before they can be considered a threat

Nobody is remotely close today. We have a stronger military than the next 14 nations combined .....and 12 of the 14 are our allies

On their side many of the Arab nations should this involve the Palestinians. In Iran's case, expect China to join in on the fun and who knows, maybe even Russia and yes, some other Arab nations.

OP- Has nothing to do with 30 years of Reaganist pander to the rich and ruin of the non-rich- see sig (2007!), or GOP obstruction of Obama's tax cuts for the nonrich, min wage hike, infrastructure GOOD jobs bill, immigration bill, training for 3 million tech jobs going begging, tax hikes for over $250k and freeloading giant corps...etc etc etc. Idiot Pub dupe.
I knew it would have to be either Reagan's fault or Bush's.

The actual fault with both political Parties...

President Obama share the blame for his failure to get the GOP House that was ran by John Boehner to compromise and get stuff done like Clinton did with Gingrich, and before someone mention the House hostility toward President Obama some of you should be reminded the GOP House when Clinton was President impeached him while the Senate did not Convict him.

So failure does fall on President Obama and Compromise is not saying it must be done his way only or their way only but finding a middle ground.

Also those writing about President Obama failure during his tenure as President are just twisting the facts because it take the Congress to pass bills for President Obama will sign.

Also it is not doing the American citizen job by attempting to pass bills that they know will be veto. The fact is the House wasted too many years trying to repeal the ACA ( which I believe is a worthless piece of crap ) and obstructing while not trying to find things they could pass knowing President Obama will sign.

In the end both sides have been worthless, and neither side should be allow to stay in power, but the average American Citizen is too stupid to understand that they are being played by these idiots.

So as the OP'er passes the buck to President Obama for failing the American citizen I will put blame on the entire government from the President to the House because they have done so little to fix the mess they were elected to do.

Also let me add states also have their fault in this mess, and could do more to help their own citizens within their states.

So let stop pointing our crooked little fingers at one individual and blame the entire system because the fact is it has failed us!

Obama's Legacy: richest go richer and poorest got poorer, both at a FASTER PACE UNDER DEMOCRATS AND OBAMA, than was happening under bush.

going into obama's EIGHT AND FINAL YEAR; there are STILL bout 13 MILLION MORE on food stamps then there were under Bush. Record numbers have given up looking for work completely and are now collecting a disibility check NOT related to military service, like SSI.

libs lie to themselves

The rate the gap is growing is accelerating

I don't know what Obama has to do with it.
He is another player that supports massive government backing up massive corporate interests while fucking the little guy. The ACA is a shinning example of this - what is the purpose of an insurance company now other than collect a check?
O-Care cuts insurer profits and will be added to forever. In 50 years insurers will be non-profits. Pubs want NO limits on all medical profits, that's how we got health care 100% more costly, with worse results...

do you care about the millions who lost their healthcare plan because of Ocare?
They forgot to tell you that they all got it back.

OP- Brainwashed RW idiocy.

I wasn't saying anything good about repubs.. They were elected to decrease debt, they never do that..

They did it during the Clinton administration. They've lowered the deficit greatly under DumBama. Without DumBama, we would probably have a balanced budget and then some to pay off the debt.
That's satire, right?

No, it's reality. Just like reality is you want to give DumBama credit for any occurrence that happens to be positive but blame Republicans and Bush when things (most of them) don't go his way.

The United States Congress are the people that write laws, create a budget and spend our money. With the exception of the Bush years, the Republicans in Congress have limited and lowered spending both during the Clinton and DumBama administrations.
You mean they obstructed all reform they could.

Yes, they did, and guess what, those reforms costs a lot of money so again, thank Republicans for lowering our deficit these past years plus putting a halt on Obama's idiotic plans that he calls reform.
Like infrastructure jobs, training, helping with college loans...horrible things even Pubs do in this case. Mindless.

You mean Clinton did. Then we got Bush and well he ruined it all. We have a republican congress now, notice how they increase the debt limit?

The President doesn't spend the money--Congress does. The President only approves or vetoes what the Congress presents.

Well Bush sure spent a lot and gave the balanced budget away fast with tax cuts.

If it's all congress then I guess our repub congress is working on balancing the budget now? Oh wait they were arguing for more spending so the debt limit was increased.

No, that's not why you increase the debt limit. You increase the debt limit for debt; in other words, money that was spent years ago. Now the bills are coming in and if the debt ceiling isn't raised, it means we can't pay our bills which means default of the US government.

Is that what you want Republicans to do?
No, it's what THEY wanted to do, and did. Idiocy.

Yes that's why the debt keeps growing. Repubs are limiting and lowering. haha good one.

They're trying, but with an Obama threat of shutting down he government which the MSM would blame Republicans for, there is only so much you can do.

Want to see a balanced budget, less spending, and real social program reform? Then elect a Republican President this time around. If we get a conservative President along with the Republican house, we just may be able to accomplish these goals. But with DumBama and possibly Hillary next? Doesn't stand much of a chance.
Never happened yet, dupe. And WRONG.

Not to mention people were happy with their HC and Barry lied about keeping their HCP and Dr.

No one was happy with annual premium hikes of between 15-18%. Since Obamacare went into full swing, we've seen that slow to under 4% the last few years.

The rich have gotten richer and everyone else has stagnated not because Obama, but because the stupid Republican-controlled congress has a vested interest in making sure to pass nothing that might help working people, less Obama get the credit for it. This fact has been out in the open since inauguration night in January of 2009 when Mitch McConnell--de facto leader of the Republican party ever since--said he'd make Obama a one-term President.

From that moment on, before Obama even had a chance to start, Republicans decided they'd oppose everything in a cynical ploy to make voters so frustrated with Washington inaction that it would surely bring Obama down, or at least confuse enough voters into believing Obama to be ineffectual.

Despite having to govern a huge country with one whole party not participating in the process, Obama has managed quite well. Just 6 years after the economic crash, household income has actually begun to rise. Because of Republican intransigence, Obama now gets FULL credit for 68 consecutive months of private sector job growth, a new American record.

Imagine how much better the country would be doing had Republicans actually decided to go to work for the American people these last 6 years instead of only serving themselves.

So? You are an ignoramus. How much did it take to wage war in Afghanistan against a bunch of tribesmen? We dont want a fair fight. We want overwhelming force and the ability to project it.
